VY had so much promise. This was a guy that everyone thought would be raising multiple trophies. Very sad to see him as a backup for one of the leagues bigger joke teams.

Last year was Fitz first full year of starting. They told him that he was the guy so he actually had confidence last season, coming into this season he can be assured that he is a long term commitment and needs to play like it. You think you could play better? Go play without cracked ribs and I guarantee you he is still a million times better.

Yes, because when VY filled in for Vick the team was 8-0 then VY lost the last eight games. That entire team was horrible last year!!!

Sorry Fitz, your attitude is not good. You just came off of three consecutive losing seasons. You need to worry. Young, even with the “low wonderlic scores” or “maturity issues” he don’t have one season of a losing record. Plus, if the coach have been wanting him since high school. You better not pull a Kerry Collins of 0-6 start!!!

Obviously this won’t be a competition. Fitz is far and away the better quarterback. I respect Fitz, but saying he’s a far better QB doesn’t say much for Vince young.

Catching the 49ers and the Texans on the road is hard, so if you count those 2 and 2 division losses that would be 4.

Not impossible.

If they don’t beat the Patriots once they won’t have a chance in the division though. I don’t think they can beat the Patriots this year. The Bills are better but so are the Patriots… by a lot. I do think the Bills will make the playoffs and who knows what can happen then.

The Bills don’t traditionally do well with QB controversy. As long as Fitzpatrick starts the season well he’ll be ok. A few bad starts and he could be in trouble though. Vince Young could still catch on. He wasn’t that bad and it was always his head that was the problem.

Also… Don’t forget last year was an anomoly. The short offseason had defenses on their heels. Once the season wore on Fitzpatrick wasn’t as effective. I admit lack of depth/injuries hurt Fitzpatrick also.

This year the really good offenses, like the Patriots and Green Bay will still move the ball, but Stevie Johnson and Ryan Fitzpatrick won’t have the same success.

In actual playing time on the field itself, Fitz is actually behing Sanchez. It takes about 3 years, more or less , to grab the full extent of what a QB needs to see to be a quality entity in the NFL. Fitz is just about ripe at this point. Previously, he was still learning the position. This season should be a big step forward for Fitz. He’s more mature than most, smarter than all, and has the fire to win, with a coach who knows just how to use him. He’s the guy, no doubt. Another wr would help. Hopefully, Easley is the guy. I can see the Bills winning 12 games with the defense stacked the way it is now. Don’t for a second think Belichek isn’t concerned about what the Bills are doing. Rex would be too if he wasn’t so arrogant, but when his team gets stompped opening day, it will be an eye opener for him. The Pats finally got some true competition after the Jets fell apart. Can’t wait!!

NFL Quarterback is the softest position in all of sports. They are a bunch of sensitive guys who do not want any competition or criticism but after one average season want to be paid top ten money. Why can’t Vince Young compete with Ryan Fitzpatrick especially when Vince has a better record in the NFL? I wish Ryan would focus more on winning instead of his feelings.

I honestly think Fitz is our guy for the next 5 years. If he has a full year of what he did the first half of last season I think the Bills win the division. I hate when people say its automatically the Patriots division. Even though I hate the Jets its going to be a 3 way competition for first place. Go Bills!
