The Arizona Cardinals announced Thursday that they have signed seventh-round pick Nate Potter to a four-year deal.
Potter was Boise State’s starting left tackle for the last four seasons. Broncos quarterback Kellen Moore is a southpaw, so Potter didn’t protect his blind side. He was still a college All American.
Potter is long and lean, and he’ll be a developmental project for position coach Russ Grimm.
The Cardinals have signed all but two of their 2012 draft picks. Third-round cornerback Jamell Fleming and first-round wideout Michael Floyd, probably in that order, are up next.

I don’t know much about this guy at all since I am down here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but what I have read so far seems like he could end up being a steal. Let’s be honest, our tackle situation has been less than par. Hopefully he makes the team and improves the line.
I live where he played his college ball. He’s a project, and probably more of an inside guy.
Yeah, he’s a project but really good value for the seventh round. He might actually be able to stick as a backup.
Cardsfann1 do you ever come out to AZ for games?
4 years of starting experience in a great program. Good size. That was a solid pick. Hope he develops into a starter. This is how great teams are built. Drafting depth like this.
