For a 350lb. guy playing against “inferior” competition, he had trouble shedding blocks, bull-dozing 280lb offensive linemen that wouldn’t sniff the NFL, was slow off the snap, and (obviously) was slow laterally, though surprisingly quick north-south. Another knock against him was his work ethic.

I’ll be amazed if he becomes a 3-down player in the NFL, but I just don’t see it. Hopefully he proves me wrong, and I’m not a Chiefs or AFC West fan. He is the definition of a feast-or-famine player.

What do you know about football, besides looking at stats? Did you know that Poe played more than 5 different positions each game for Memphis? Or that, at 350 pounds, he played every snap? Or that Romeo Crennell, who has coached Ted Washington and Vince Wilfork, was absolutely thrilled to get Poe?

If he had played for a major 3-4 team like Georgia for instance, Poe would have been a glamorous NT prospect. So tired of people just repeating what other ignorant pundits have said.
