When I think of dynasty, I think of the old Steelers’ Steel Curtain; I think of Lombardi’s Packers; I think of the 90′s Yankees; and I most certainly think of the 80′s NY Islanders. A dynasty is a team that is there every year, wins division titles every year (with or without Super Bowl) & dominates. I’m not even sure the Patriots with Brady & BB qualify as a dynasty, but they are the closest we will get to seeing one in today’s NFL with parity. On the other hand, I wouldn’t mind a couple more titles coming to town. While it may not make a dynasty, those titles would make Eli Manning one of the greatest QB’s in NFL history & finally take him out of Peyton’s shadow.

I will agree that dynasty is a strong word, but 2 SB’s if 5 years is not a fluke. Deal with it! Go Giants!

Brady, Brees, Peyton, Rodgers. All of them are better. Also, that list of records isn’t impressive. The Superbowls are impressive and maybe the post season passing yards, but the other ones aren’t records anyone cares about. The other guys I listed all have much better career stats and all hold at least 1 great all time record. Only Brady has more Super Bowls of course.

Eli isn’t the worst QB to win two superbowls though. That is Bob Griese for sure. Plunket was also worse than Eli. Roethlisberger is debatable.

Plunkett only suffers from having to play for the craptastic Patriots in his early career. As it was, Brady hardly carried any of the Super Bowl teams that he won a ring with, being outpassed by all three opposing QBs in those game, relying on his defense to keep him in the game.

And compared to the over-the-top gloating that Bostonians do whenever their teams win anything, New Yorkers are sedate by comparison.
