Like I’ve said before: I love the haters. They take time out of their day to repeat the same tired lines no matter what the news. It’s hilarious. No team in the NFL can stir up that kind of emotion/hate. Somebody has to be the villain, Al Davis and the RAIDERS embraced it. Then they proceeded to slap around the AFC for the better part of 40 years.

I like McClain, I wish the best for him and his family, but if there is any justice in the NFL, he’s sitting out for AT LEAST a year. This (to me) seems far more agregious than putting a “bounty” on a guy from the other team (something that just about every high school, college and pro football player has done or considered themselves).

Maybe the length of McClain’s suspension all depends on if the victim suffered a concussion or not. LOL

That’s an absolutely ridiculous statement. Jamarcus Russell was a poor performer who didn’t live up to his pre-draft hype and demonstrated no motivation to improve. I don’t know what’s going on in Rolando’s personal life, but he’s a heckuva football player.

What do we expect when we send the man to work in an industry that celebrates aggression (toughness) and expects conflict (hard-hitting, win at all costs) and what do you think you are going to get? The guy is essentially a modern-day gladiator but we get all bent out of shape when he acts like a gladiator outside of the arena? Since when were juiced up “jocks” known for critical thinking and excellent decision making? McClain isn’t a brain surgeon; he’s a guy who is paid to crash his body into people. They would fire him if he WASN’T aggressive. It’s not that easy to just turn this kind of aggression on and off.

I don’t think any of us should be too surprised at a story like this. I think we should be thankful it doesn’t happen every day. And EVERY team has stuff like this, stop hating simply because McClain is a Raider.

I also heard that the judge was going to give McClain a full year until it was learned that Tapscott was wearing a Bronco’s jersey at the time of the incident. In a written statement the judge said: “If it had been a Tim Tebow jersey, Mr. McClain would have gotten community service credit”.
