Cubby is NOT implying that he endorses the shirt, because they very clearly state that Tebow does not endorse. The fact is that they are making a general reference to his success and are just trying to join in the fun. Also featured on the site (by name) are other athletes such as Peyton Manning many Chicago area players from all teams. Are any of these suing???? Tebow is trying to have it both ways in terms of media attention…not going to work this time.

Tebow’s suing because they’re using him in the ads, implying he’s endorsing their t-shirts. It has nothing to do with his name and likeness being on the t-shirts.

My bet is that Deb is right about Timbow going after them for using his name for promotion without his permission.

It would seem that the Jets could gain traction against their logo that is similar to the Jets’.

The pivotal issue would be the colors used. The similarity of their “My Jesus” logo shape could be okay, if they use colors that are different than Jets’ colors.

This should be no-brainer that sets precedence for how to deal with future pirates. No! There already has to be precedence set on this common problem.

This is one time that I’ll root for Timmy and the Jets to win.

And you must be a third-grader. Yeah, I’m a Steelers fan, but that has nothing to do with my feelings about Tebow. My team should have prepared for that game. As I said then and have said since, we were out-Foxed by a better game plan that Tebow executed beautifully. Good for him and the Broncos–and feel free to look up my comments. I don’t do post-game blame and bitterness.

I’m not particularly fond of Tebow because as a person of strong faith myself, his over-the-top form of Christianity makes me uncomfortable. It’s something I wrestle with because I don’t want to judge him but can’t help mistrusting him. However, proclaiming your faith doesn’t mean you deserve to be exploited. I’m a Christian and find those shirts and the ads extremely offensive. In his shoes, I’d do whatever was necessary to have my name removed from any association with that product.

If you don’t like the guy, that’s fine. But it’s not hypocritical for a Christian to refuse to endorse every product that mentions Christ–especially those that do it in a frivolous, disrespectful way. What a ridiculous attitude to have. Are you all under 16?

I’m not a legal expert, but… what grounds does Tebow have to sue? The Jets, perhaps, might have a case.
