Really? 2010 Vick should have been the MVP, not Brady. His past, and games missed cost him that award. He was by FAR the most valuable player to his team that year.

The Maxwell Club, who doesn’t care what the public thinks, voted him as the NFL MVP that year. Go look at the list of Bert Bell award winners, and you’ll see that the award goes to guys that deserve it, not to guys that bring the best press to the NFL.

The Eagles did upgrade at a few positions and look promisng on paper. The only problem is other teams upgraded as well. Until you get a Quarterback that can win playoff games all you will ever be is PAPER CHAMPIONS!!! LOL….The only thing you have in common with the Giants is your in the same division, other than that no comparison!

It’s not 3 years ago …. The eagles o-line is far from weak and was rated one of the best last year and is also being coached by the best position coach in the business Howard Mudd….. Also did everyone forget about Demeco Ryans …. So yeah with Ryans and a very talented 2nd rounder although a rookie the LBs will be greatly improved along with a great pass rush it will take pressure off the secondary (please see giants 2007 and 2011 … Bad secondaries with a great pass rush)

Here comes more thumbs down, who do you trust more a team that won the Super Bowl a few times or a team that has never won the Super Bowl. Eagles do have a good team but they don’t have the “it” factor. They choke in the big games. Cowboys will win a ring before the Eagles will.

no i have never seen a o-line coach named jaun castillo decide play D coordinator before, or watch mike vick get battered around because of YOUR weak o-line and miss several games , or marty mornihweg & andy reid call 60/40 pass over run or YOUR defense get gashed by frank gore, fred jackson, marshawn lynch or countless others, or YOUR safety nate allen miss tackles or get burnt, it sure seems like i know more about YOUR team then YOU!!!

People forget, a lot of Reid’s problems came from taking people out of position from what they do best. also a new defense with a new DC. Also he completely misjudged the ability of his linebackers. Did he really think Casey Matthews was going to take him to The Super Bowl? The other two LB’S were 7th round draft picks. Every sports commentator on the planet saw that. I wish My Birds the very best in 2012 but, Reids mindset on some things scare me. He has addressed the linebacker problem,,,amen Hopefully the safeties will improve with a full camp and more experience. I see Vick”s backup as a potential problem which could keep them from a 11 and 5 season if Vic goes down as he usually does.

nnambi is 32 and very average at best. did you not watch his play last year? they traded away their best corner samuels.
vick is a china doll ALWAYS hurt just breath on him hard enough and he misses games.
eagles have done nothing not ever and never will!

this is the best part about the off season, every fan has a dream filled with hope, every team is undefeated, and then the games start and u realize it was just that…… A DREAM!!!! no run defense, over hyped line backing core with rolle & the ROOKIE kendricks who is instant HOF already to eagle fans, horrible o-line, even worse D coordinator, and andy reid who wont consistently dedicate to the run game, no solid play from the safety’s , are all being overlooked

Nnamdi could have saved a few breaths & simply said:
“Yeah, we had alot of talent last year, it just took awhile for us to gel-what with a converted offensive line coach turned 1st time defensive coordinator that installed a scheme completely ill-suited to the assembled free agents.”

Eagles could be a real threat this year if Vick can stay healthy, everyone checks their egos at the door, & Juan Castillo can figure out how to suit his scheme to the available talent, rather than force the available talent into his scheme, which they are not suited for.

That the Eagles managed to go 8-8 last year despite Vick’s injury & VY’s resulting trainwreck coupled with the aforementioned defensive self-handicapping was a miracle & testament to just how talented that group of players were….
Notice I didn’t refer to them as a team.
Ultimately, still too many selfish personalities on that roster.

Raiders did no worse with MoneyNamdi and he did nothing for the Eagles so now i wonder how good is he really…The Raiders do make good corners/db look @ C.Wood why we let him go ??? Mr.Davis but anyways. MoneyNamdi was banged up just wondering if he lost a steep and will ever be the same??

Nnamdi Asomugha has to be the most overhyped, overpaid player in the league. His play was mediocre at best last year, nowhere near deserving of his inflated salary and reputation. I would love to see the “real” Nnamdi step up this year and show everyone that the Eagles got their money’s worth. But alas, I think we’re just going to see more of what we saw last year.

The Eagles have always been a talented team, but somehow they fade when crunch time comes. I think they lack the heart to be truly great. Reid needs to infuse

People who say the eagles will never win the super bowl are idiots. I mean it’s not like the Giants dominated the 2 years they won the super bowl. They just got in to the playoffs at 9-7 and had a good run along with the help of kyle williams fumbling 2 punts etc. The eagles have tons of talent a great pass rush and good coaching…. So why is it so impossible for them to win the super bowl …. I’m realistic and am not a fan who guarantees they will win every year but they can play with and beat anyone in the league.

When expectations were high they didn’t win squat last year. When they were officially done and there were no expectations they started to win again. Now the new season is upon us people think they are going to pick up from the end of the season. Expectations are there again, make your own conclusion on how this season turns out.

Sorry but your QB is injury prone and inaccurate in a West Coast offense that requires him to dink and dunk. 3rd place in the NFC East and no playoffs in 2012.
