Second of all Clady is not an OK player. He’s a 3 (THREE) time pro bowler who has never missed a game.

----------------------------------------------------

Do not use the Pro Bowl as a way to validate someone being good or not. He was an injury replacement and the fact he made it over Duane Brown is ridiculous.

Anything fans get to vote for instantly becomes worthless.

@ DenverBroncosFan_NoMatterWhat

Nope man Clady definitley made the pro bowl last year.

It was mostly due to the fact we had the #1 rushing offense in the league and the NFL had to pick at least one Bronco O-Lineman.

Regardless the dude is a beast and players like him are in high demand and low supply.

That's what I was tryin to say about the Pro Bowl. You had stated he made it three times in a row, but he only actually made it last season, not that he didn't deserve to go a few more times before that. And if it was because they needed to send an o-lineman, then Clady was the only choice cause the rest of our line is green, with the exception of Kup. Hopefully the rest of the line can progress and get better, especially at C.

But otherwise, completely agree...Iron Clady is a beast, no doubt. I wonder if he makes the Top 100? If Tebow made it, Clady has got to have a spot.

@4thquartermagic: Right on, brother. You speak on what most logical Broncos fans know. The only thing I have to call you out on is that Ryan Clady only went to the Pro Bowl this last season. He was All-Pro a couple of times, but other than that, he has been passed over for the Pro Bowl for Joe Thomas or Jake Long...then again, I could be wrong.

If John Elway can lock up Iron Clady for 6 yrs, I'm all for it. You won't find many LT's like Clady every year.

I'm ok with our Corners, Von Miller, Dumervill, DJ williams. If Denver could run the ball with no passing game, it should be better with Manning right?

Second of all Clady is not an OK player. He’s a 3 (THREE) time pro bowler who has never missed a game. Give me 3 other LT’s with that resume.

=============================

And he gave up nine sacks and had 12 penalties last year for a team that threw the ball less than a dozen times a game.

As a Raiders fan, this strikes me as similar to what Al (RIP) used to do: Pay an OK player like a superstar, and then assume he’ll play like one.

But Silva wrote that he is regressing! How can the Broncos possibly be considering extending the deal for the OT that a PFT writer says only was an All Pro based on name recognition -- you know, the level of finishing 3rd in Rookie of the Year voting?

The second sentence in this article is covering for Silva's ignorant article. The current Broncos management is well aware of Clady's performance and the circumstances that have factored into the "increased sack totals". They are able to go beyond one degree of analysis and see deeper.

Clady is a great athlete who has overcome injury and playing in a circus atmosphere the last two seasons and it is a smart move to get him locked up now, while his market value is lower. Left Tackles of his ability do not exactly grow on trees.

Well well well... shortly after a nonsense "Ryan Clady is Regressing" report, the Broncos simultaneously look to lock up the LT.

Three reasons why the Broncos dismiss his higher sack totals of the last 3 years

1) Two years ago, Clady was recovering from an MCL injury.

2) Same year, Orton became starting QB. Long known as being a statue in the pocket, Orton locked onto Brandon Lloyd and almost never checked down to other receivers which resulted in sacks.

#3 One year ago, after Orton lead the team to a 1-4 start, Tebow takes over. For three quarters of every game that followed, Tebow would run around in circles, avoid stepping up in the pocket, and never check-down to open receivers. Which resulted in... you guessed it, sacks.

People are going to try and poke holes in the idea that this Bronco team might very well be the most talented team Peyton Manning has ever been on.

OTA's start Monday.
