I don't see the 'boys trading him for less than a 3rd or 4th round pick. He's worth that as depth this year. I also don't see any teams offering anything better than a 5th or 6th round pick either. All in all, it looks like he's not going anywhere this season.

Why trade him ? Even if he doesnt start, if there is an injury atleast we would have a good backup to play. Look what we went thru last year. A team can never have to many good corners. Just keep him . When teams try to spread us out we line up with jenkins ,carr and clailborne. That doesnt sound bad to me.

The Claiborne pick was excellent, but Jenkins had a good year, played hurt, and is still young. For the value the team would receive in a trade, they need to keep him for another year.

No reason to trade or release him.

You have a solid young corner for about 1 mil base salary. You can probably only get a late round pick for him in trade and the compensatory pick you would receive for losing him to FA would probably be better anyways.

He provides depth, is in a contract year, and if he miraculously turns in to a pro bowl corner, you can use the franchise tag on him to either trade him or use him one more year.

Makes zero sense to trade or release him.

If Jenkins had half a brain, he'd get to OTA's and start doing all he can to make sure he starts so he looks better when he does hit the market. He has zero leverage right now and is only hurting himself.

Mike Jenkins is butt hurt over the drafting of Morris Claiborne. He's a talented corner, but has a real problem with the mental aspect. The book on him is he's a REALLY sensitive guy and spends a lot of his time moping and feeling sorry for himself. Not a good quality for a CB.

With every day that passes, Dallas is getting more and more assurance that taking Claiborne was the right thing to do.
