Jacory Harris out in Philly

The Jacory Harris era has ended in Philly, likely before many of you realized it had even started.

The Eagles, who signed the former University of Miami quarterback 10 days ago, have parted ways with him.  The team announced the move this afternoon.

The transaction occurs on the same day rookie quarterback Nick Foles agreed to terms.  Both would have been available for Organized Team Activities, however, since unsigned rookies routinely participate in offseason workouts even without a contract in place.

Harris participated in the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis before signing with the Eagles.

Philly is now back to only four quarterbacks on the roster:  Mike Vick, Mike Kafka, Nick Foles, and Trent Edwards.

Can he re-enter the draft? That way the Redskins can take him with their third rounder (assuming they have one).

when he catches on somewhere and becomes a star the eagles will regret the day that the let him walk out the door……….. this is a story about Vick right?

Have this awkward feeling that McNabb will be the No. 2 or 3 QB on this team.

Knowing Jacory Harris, he will probably throw an interception before he gets to camp.

Guess I was right. Although I can’t say I’m surprised. The Eagles do need to find a veteran to back up Vick. I don’t think they can solely rely on any of those three guys behind him now.

I’m a die hard canes fan, and I couldn’t agree any more. He is probably one of the worst QBs the canes ever had.

Harris could not play the game well @ college level. And he cannot play in NFL

Another high school hero being put to bed.

I’m guessing he demonstrated his incredible ability to throw the ball directly to defensive backs.

Eagles gave him a tryout due to Drew Rosenhaus being his agent. Great negotiating.

What recent Drew Rosenhaus client sign with the Eagles.

give the kid a break. He has achieved a level most of us sport geeks and/or athletes will never achieve. He wasn’t good enough to stick in the Eagles camp, period! At least he got an opportunity unlike 99.9% of us.
