That’s untrue. Kerry Collins was mentally retired. Curtis Painter was so inept that he made the Colts look as though they had no business being in the NFL. Dan Orlovsky came in and won 2 games. It was really the QB position.

Add on to the fact that the Colts practically gave up on the season once they heard Manning wasn’t going to play. There is some talent there, and they still have vets on their team in Reggie Wayne, Freeney and Mathis. At least those guys have a SB ring to show for their troubles.

No. Remember that Brett Favre’s first ever NFL play resulted in an interception by, you know who, the Super Bowl winning 1991-1992 Skins.

What I’m trying to say is honestly, who cares if RG3 does bad during this season? Some of the greatest NFL QB’s of today have started in some jokes of seasons.

Give RG3 time to develop, he will be more than amazing in the years to come with all his talent. Don’t jump off the bandwagon the moment he makes a mistake and loses a couple games.

It proves that he is ahead of the learning curve that Shanahan set for him. He has a very good defense and some WRs to throw to. He is in a system that fits him perfectly and he has all the ability in the world so he should succeed. The Skins will win more than 5 games this season.

You’re right — no one cares about Peyton’s rookie year. But it still happened and he played pretty well despite the record (having Faulk and Harrison helped though). In fact, that was something that he could build on: The next season they won 13 games and got a first round bye.

Not saying that will be RG3 because his circumstance is different.
