Am I the only one that remembers he lead the league in fumbles and only started 2/3 of the season. The phins are better off running the ball every down right now than throwing the football.

Nobody really knows how good Tannehill will be. So let’s stop with the predictions based on speculation. Just think back to last year when all you haters said that trading for Reggie Bush was a huge mistake. I’m more concerned with the wide receiver position than QB.

Matt Moore deserves the support of a front office and sideline, for just once in his NFL career. The guy can play, but he’s always looking over his shoulder to get yanked.

I’ll take Matt Moore over a half-dozen other STARTERS in the league right now.

This should not surprise anyone as Matt Moore was the 12th rated passer in the NFL even though the offensive line was a low 30th in their performance. He had Brandon Marshall who was thrown to often but who also dropped many TD passes. Having Tannehill or Gerrard as backup is what’s needed in today’s NFL to insure that a team continues winning. Matt Moore did not have an elite group of receivers to throw to but still allowed his team to be ahead of both the Giants and Partriots until the last minute of the respective games.

I wish this guy would suddenly go mute. We have become just about the only team with quotes like this from an owner. You never hear any other owner commenting on what’s going to happen at the QB position.

Not even the tweet twit Irsay makes comments like this. HE’S AN OWNER, HE KNOWS NOTHING OF FOOTBALL.

I really like Matt Moore, and he showed flashes of being The Guy at times. However, statistically there was one glaring red flag. His Quarterback Rating in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters was solid, over 90 in all three I believe. However, his 4th quarter QBR was in the low-60s. He seemed to make his worst throws, and poorest decisions, late in the game.

If he can continue to improve and show he can close games, he COULD be a franchise guy. But he has to show he can make that leap…and do so consistently.

I have to believe better coaching will help, and I definitely will be rooting for him. It would help Tannehill considerably if Miami didn’t need him right away.

Matt Moore is the best option? A QB who played okay in Carolina when there was nothing to prove, choked when there was something to prove, and proved to be allergic to the football (didn’t he have like 20 fumbles this year?) I feel so bad for Dolphins fans!

What’s the big deal? I don’t care who starts as long as the best guy actually wins the job. If that’s Moore, fine. If it’s Tannehill, fine–I just hope he doesn’t lose confidence if he gets pummeled or confused by NFL defenses. He is no doubt the future QB of the Dolphins and needs to play when he is ready to–as long as he is the best guy they have.

Lions fan here and I have to say that it looks like Ross is simply abusing his fans with his decisions this off-season. First it was the teaser with Flynn and Manning. Ok, so you didn’t get them. But don’t go out and sign Garrard. What an insult to the fan base. If Garrard ever takes a snap you know its a loss. No need to sign for that kind of depth. And then Ross overreacts and drafts Tannehill. Now he realizes Tannehill really isn’t ready for the big time so Moore gets the nod. As someone who suffered through Millen, I feel for the Fins fans.

Moore played well at the end of last season… and Tannehill will hopefully developed for the future. I don’t want to rush a rookie QB in. Wait until his is ready. I have always been a believer in picking the best player available at your spot, and Tannehill is a pretty good candidate.

Moore did just fine last year. All Miami needs is 11 players on the field to execute and player development, which hasn’t happened in years. They may be on the right track with these coaches.
