1. They will sign Brees. Now everybody can relax about that.
2. We’ve been w/out Will Smith for 4 games before, so we can swing that.
3. I love Vilma. LOVE me some 51. But Curtis Lofton is an upgrade.
4. Pete Carmichael is Sean Payton’s equal at playcalling.
5. Spags. If you don’t know, ask somebody.
6. Sean Payton being gone is as good as him being there. Players may in fact play harder, just to make a statement. This is also true of the bounty deal. This all equals one big chip on a lot of big shoulders.
7. Grubbs replaced Nicks. This is a small dropoff, but not enough to get any real Whodat upset. They couldn’t have found a better replacement.
8. The rest of that offense, minus Meachem, is intact.
9. If you’re worried about Meach being gone, google Nick Toon.
10. The Saints have 3 new LBs, Lofton, Hawthorne & Chamberlin. They added a DT, Bunkley. That’s not an accident. Spags is at work.
11. There are players previously drafted with injuries that should emerge. Martez Wilson & Greg Romeus. Get somebody to tell you.
12. Their offense can win 8-9 games by itself. Spags will actually make their D better. If the D can win 2 games & the chip on the shoulder can win 1… 12-4.
13. Vegas still has us at 12-4.
