Oh, another “You can’t say We” Idiot. Fans are a part of successful teams. I have earned the right to say “We” by supporting this team through good and bad, and we all know there was a lot of bad. Any team that rejects its fans and says they are not part of the team are just foolish. I hope the Bengals are beyond that.

I too think that Zietler was the better choice for their blocking scheme. Actually I think he was better for PITs blocking scheme too, but they must have not thought so. Anyone who doubts that Zietler was the Bengals 1st choice at G, needs to just research some reports that came out a week or so before the draft. It was reported 3-4 times that former OSU head coach, and current Bengal scout John Cooper was standing on the table for them to take a certain Big Ten Olineman with one of the first picks. Shame on the media for not being able to figure out who that T was. Yeah they assumed he meant T Mike Adams, or made no assumption. It’s because the majority of mocksters had him in the second round. Whereas it’s been confirmed through reports that at least CIN, PIT, BAL and 3 other unnamed teams had him with a 1st round grade and/or as the #1 G in the draft.

I wanted DeCastro too, but considering we got a Guard that fits our offense better than DeCastro, AND got another really strong DT out of the trade with NE, i’d say another surprisingly good move by Mike Brown and the Bengals front office.

Personally wudda rather had DeCastro but after reading or hearing how this kid talks about things am thrilled with how the trade down worked out. Will be interesting to see how the 2 of their (DeC / Z) careers go over time. Think both will be top-shelf barring serious injury.

Zeitler is an awesome pick..I don’t mind that they let De Castro slip, just wish he hadn’t gone to the Steelers. Some mocks had him above De Castro.
