Leave deb alone. I am happy for you that you think you are a good christian. I am sorry for you that you dont understand football. All you people who say that if tebow was muslim everyone would be cheering him are completely delusional. He would be absolutely hated if that were the case. Since when does being muslim make you loved in this country? I love when christians act like they are the ones who are being oppressed, that is funny. I am not speaking about all christians when i say this but there are an awful lot of christians out there who seem to feel that unless they are able to cram their beliefs down everyone else's throats they are oppressed. You "oppressed" christians should experience how it feels to be someone who is not religious in this country. Trust me CHRISTIANS are not the ones who are oppressed. Christianity has been used as an excuse to oppress all non christians for hundreds of years. SOME of you seem to feel that this country's laws should be based on your beliefs. No thank you. I dont share your beliefs and i dont want any part of them. Good for you and timmy that you are both christians, that does not make him a good football player and quite frankly that in itself does not make him a good person either. an awful lot of people have been killed in the name of christianity. I dont have a problem with religion itself but i DO have a problem with people like you who seem to feel that everyone should live their lives based on YOUR beliefs and things that were written in a book by people hundreds of years ago who were less educated than your average 5th grader today. If that is the way you choose to live, more power to you. You know if you could say what i just did to people who dont share your beliefs maybe i wouldnt have such a problem with you and people like you. You can have all the faith you want but stop acting like that makes you better than everyone else and stop pushing it on the rest of us.

I'm well-familiar with those passages, and you’re taking the one about God’s gifts out of context. Yes, scripture says many will call his name and not all will be chosen. But He will make those determinations. Your judgment that Tebow’s fruits are more worthy than any other athlete’s is nothing more than the assumption of someone in no position to make that judgment.

That "D?" The same "D" that was 1-4 prior to Tim taking over? Wow. What fools post these days.

Tebow stabbed Orton in the back in Denver and the broncos coaching staff and front office went right ahead and let him to appease that fanbase and he will do the same thing to Sanchez if given the opportunity by the team .

jason Campbell is a establish starter in the NFL and he is now backing up Cutler in Chicago on a one year deal .

Have you heard ANYTHING at all from him ? The team decides who gets the job and the only way tebow gets the job is if the jets front office wants to give him the job just like they did in Denver .

The only way Campbell gets to start is if Cutler is hurt and theyve already told Campbell that when they signed him .

The jets got Tebow to be the gadget backup QB who sells a few tickets and jerseys the only way he starts is if they let him stab Sanchez in the back

@ Deb
Many, many NFL players on every team are Christians. Tim Tebow doesn’t have a monopoly on being a child of God, nor should he have a monopoly on any Christian’s prayers. And nowhere in NT Scripture are we instructed to support the sports teams (businesses, political parties, secular views, or personal ambitions) of fellow Christians. Perhaps you’re the pretender. 8 2

I beg to differ on there being many many Christians on every team. I can call myself a car but that doesnt make me a car. Thanking the Lord after a game or praying during halftime does not make a person a Christian. The bible says many will say Lord Lord on Judgment day. They will have done many miracles in the name of Jesus but God will still throw them into hell. The bible says the road is narrow that leads to eternal life and few find it. The bible says that since it is hard for the righteous to be saved what will become of he sinner, ungodly etc. We know the true Christians by their fruit. Tebow has fruit.
God give people certain gifts.. One of Tebow is that he is a great athlete. God has him using his gift to have a greater platform to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ that many people may be snatched from the flame.. Tebow doesn't need public bashing or words of hate from so called other Christians. Encourage and praying is your job unless of course your goal is that people be damed. He has enough spiritual warfare going on then also having to get it from you or others that call themselves Christians. Out of all my postings I have never touted my own horn but let me shed some light just for your benefit. I ran a street ministry for 3 years in the roughest areas. We preached the gospel and fed the hungry. I never once asked for money but paid for every thing myself from my meager wages. I taught evangelism at teen challenge. I also taught for he Salvation army.. I now go to a nursing home and preach. I spent some time today listening to a crippled old man sing in his band cause it was important to him that I be there. The list goes on and on.. Deb, kif I am a pretender than I have a feeling that you should probably be concerned about your own eternal fate. Christian is my life.. Deb, read your bible for real. I think you might be missing some stuff.

What happened to Favre's second year in MN, Norsedrew? Same team, right? Most teams are very different year to year and some even within the same season.

The only opinion that needs validation is the one claiming he's a good QB, because it's obvious he can't play. He's 24 years old, plays the most important position, and he's arguably the most popular player. Yet he's traded for next to nothing.

As an AFC West fan, Tebow NEVER played well EVER. Denver’s defense and running game is what barely got them into the playoffs. Tebow was a crutch/handicap for the Bronco’s.

-----------------------------------------------------------

For the media and fans who sincerely believe what this Chiefs fan is saying (and this is a very common belief) then I wonder the following......

1. If that same defense and same running game is what got them into the playoffs and a 1st round win what type of realistic expectations are there for having this same team and a now experienced Von Miller leading the way but with the best or 2nd best (depending on your view) QB in the entire league now running that same team?

To me, the argument that the QB was horrible and it was all the Defense and Running game that made Denver have the season they did last year makes Tebow haters open to difficult issues if Manning does not lead Denver to a considerably better season.

In Minnesota....we HATED Tavaris Jackson as our QB almost as much as we hated having Childress be the head coach. His deer in headlights "jump in the air" and throw the ball QB skills of Jackson is what made so many of us actually happy to see a real QB (Favre) enter the picture even though he came from a hated rival.

Even though the Vikings didn't win the Superbowl, the season that Favre had with the same team Tavaris had validated all the "anti Tavaris Jackson" feelings almost all of us had.

At the end of this year the Broncos will need to have the same type of huge improvement with Manning at the helm or there will be some serious holes in the anti Tebow arguments.

On the other hand if Manning does for the Broncos what Favre did for the Vikings it will validate much of what the anti Tebow fans have been saying.

Either way one side will be validated by the end of the year. I'm looking forward to that particular aspect of the Broncos season this year even more than what happens to Tebow in NY to help me have an even more accurate opinion of just how good or bad Tebow really is.

I’m looking forward to that particular aspect of the Broncos season this year even more than what happens to Tebow in NY to help me have an even more accurate opinion of just how good or bad Tebow really is.

Which is working since I keep clicking on it to post the same thing since they keep deleting my comments!

How do you think Tebow is taking "his campaign outside the locker room" to be starter? Calling it "shady" that he didn't make whatever statement you want to the press when fans put billboards up is ridiculous. It's such a lame criticism to go after him for not endorsing another quarterback just because fans wanted him to play. Tebow didn't put up the billboards. And criticizing him for changing his dog's name? Come on. Seriously?

Read the reviews on TT's book "Tebow admits he learns things better by doing, rather than reading.
On the field, we have seen him progress as a quarterback because of the repetitions he is now getting rather than having to read and study a playbook."
TT"s dyslexia will prevent him from ever being anything more than a situational contributor. The light at the end-of-the-tunnel for the Jets is going to be a massive train wreck that wipes out the Ryan experience!!!
