I live in Middleburg, don’t drink PBR (prefer Bud Light), I’m a 10 year season ticket holder, just re-uped for another 3 years on the 30-30 plan, have paid for every year with MY money and I don’t give a crap if they win or lose. It doesn’t affect my life one way or the other. I go for the game day experience, fellowship with my friends and all the people we have met, the tailgates, and most of all to support MY team win or lose !!!

And by the way, I pretty darn intelligent myself…I can pick a bandwagon fan out from a 100 yards….and you sir, apparently own the copy rights !!!!

You had me until you mentioned that Tebow wouldn’t sell tickets. You can say he’s bad, can’t throw, etc but to say he wouldn’t sell tickets in his hometown is borderline short bus.

People will not re-up for this mess on the field. I actually go to the games to watch professional football; not partake in some social scene. I want to see competitive football.

Somewhat agree. However, he is correct about a better product. This team has blown for the last 10 seasons minus one. All the new season tickets that were sold two years ago as part of the three year deal is up at the end of this year. That’s tens of thousands of tickets.

If we have a 5 win season, watch those renewals drop. Who wants to spend $300 a game to watch amatuer hour?

Yeah, I get it. You guys are the “real” fans. But for the rest of us out there that dont have a corporation or our father buying our tickets, it’s too expensive of a proposition to watch bad football.

Either the team gets better (ie…firing Gene Smith would be a start) or hope for an “Angels in the Outfield” type moment.

I’m down for whatever keeps this team here. I own a business and raise my kids in this city….so we can hope for ticket sales now, but Tebow would have assured them…is my point.

Is it really comparable? The Royals have 81 home games a year, vs the Jaguars having 10.

I am not making a statement one way or the other. Don’t get me wrong…I for one like the Royals. I have been to a KC Royals game several times, and had a blast each time. In fact, KC is a great city, which I visit for business several times per year. I enjoy it every time I visit.

I am not kidding, but I hope Mike Dempsey of 1010 XL Radio in Jacksonville is telling the truth when he says the stadium is not big enough for the market that Jacksonville is in!!!!

Resizing is really a good idea to bring the capacity of Everbank into a realistic range. The Jaguars have consistently sold 62,000+ tickets for the past two years. That is about the size of an average stadium in the NFL. Why is this even an issue for the national media? Why are we still seeing the same comments about a bad fan base? Oh, and weren’t several thousand seats removed from the Redskins stadium….What is the difference? Are they in danger of relocating?

Also, the only reason we didn’t have blackouts last year is because the OWNER bought the thousands of extra tickets to avoid them.

No matter what side of the argument you are on, everyone knows that if they really wanted to remove those tarps, they would have used that third round pick that they wasted on a PUNTER to bring a certain HOMEGROWN very popular QB back to town!

And that is the ultimate slap in the face for Locals/fans who are currently NOT BUYING TICKETS!

Browns- Haden, Thomas, and now Richardson/Weeden

Rams (and I’m a Rams fan)- SJack, Long, Laurinaitis, and Bradford (hopefully)

Vikings- Peterson, Ponder, Allen

The Jags have Jones-Drew and who else? I honestly cannot name one defensive player besides Tyson Alaulu. Maybe Blackmon will help.

That and a new color scheme. I’m not a big fan of the teal.

I know you are just repeated what you’ve been fed over the years and it’s fine. If that’s you’re theory then the NFL should have gotten of all these markets as well years ago. Indy, Oakland, Cincinnati, New England, Tampa, San Deigo, Pheonix, Buffalo, New Orleans, St Louis so you’re agrument doesn’t hold water my friend.
