Bengals unveil four-game ticket packages

San Diego Chargers v Cincinnati Bengals Getty Images

As the Cincinnati Bengals try to follow a season that was successful on the field but unsuccessful at the box office with a season featuring success in both categories, the team will be making available something less than a full season-ticket package to interested fans.

According to WKRC, the Bengals will offer a pair of four-game packages that cost $53 per ticket, per game.

The orange pack provides tickets to game against the Browns, Cowboys, Dolphins, and Steelers. The black pack includes tickets for contests against the Ravens, Broncos, Raiders, and Giants.

The best part is that neither package requires the purchase of a ticket to a preseason game.

Two-game packages also are available:  Browns and Steelers; Cowboys and Dolphins; Broncos and Giants, and Ravens and Raiders.

Actually, it’s a compelling slate of home games — especially with Carson Palmer now playing for the Raiders.

Hopefully, it’ll add up to a few more sellouts in Cincy this season.

“Buy our tickets!! Please!! Please!!! We’ll dance! We’ll sing! We’ll do anything but spend money on our football team so we can win a SuperBowl!”

    eesh.

Although postage and handling brings the cost of the total package to just under $1200.

Very good idea to boost ticket sales.

Other teams fans think the Bengals dont have good fans because they didnt sell out much last season.(even though in years past they sold out Almost all of the games)

The truth is the Bengals have some of the BEST fans, fans so good they didnt want to go to the games to support Mike Brown and his perceived unwillingness to do anything to contribute to winning. And of course him being so frugal didnt help his image.

Mike Brown has made many mistakes and clearly cant run the sports side of an NFL football team(However he is a tremendous business man) Hes only had a few good seasons since hes been owner the past 20 years.

But it appears that he has given up some of his control to other who are better at making football decisions, and the TEAM is in a very good bright spot.

Just last summer everybody had already deemed the bengals in last place and that they would be picking Andrew Luck. However without the quitter and non-leader Carson Palmer was gone, and the team philosophy has changed, the team NOBODY thought had a chance actually made the playoffs.

THIS IS THE TIME BENGALS FANS. Go support your team by buying tickets and show appreciation for what the New Bengals are becoming, Show AJ, Andy, Carlos, Dre, Geno, Still, Whitworth etc. that Cincy truly loves the Bengals and appreciates all they’ve done, and that you believe in them!

    I would definitely go Black…..

  5. virusgvr says: May 30, 2012 11:39 PM

Hopefully… But then again when the team is at a point where they are 3-7 on the year, no one will care and they won’t even come.

  6. randallflagg52 says: May 30, 2012 11:44 PM

This is just sad that a team needs to resort to this in order to sell out their games…

  7. mikebrownistheworstownerinprosports says: May 30, 2012 11:53 PM

What team do you root for, Randallflagg? You and JoeToronto are so obsessed with the Bengals that you comment on literally every single story. I’ll just assume we beat your team last season.

As for the article, we had 57 straight sellouts up until last season. People were just ticked about the Carson situation and coming off a 4-12 season. Fans will be back this year. We’ve already sold a ton of season tickets. Keep hatin’. This year is gonna be a good one.

As a die hard Raider fan:

It is heart breaking that the Raiders are a key game in a ticket package for the Bengals. Not because of the in suing battle, but because there former QB is now the Raiders interception machine. Carson Palmer will be so confused not moving in the pocket and looking at orange and black stripes, he will be a concussion lawsuit by himself before the first sack.

If T.J. Houshmandzadeh was still with the Raiders, Carson would hit critical mass and suffer a meltdown of Chernobyl proportions that would leave Raider fans asking about JaMarcus Russell or even Todd Marinovich.

    Better days are ahead.

as far as business moves are concerned this is a great model to use

  11. airplayful says: May 31, 2012 2:50 AM

Not everyone can afford season tickets, this is a good option for fans. It’s also a good way to introduce people to eventually buying full seasons.

  12. gobills716 says: May 31, 2012 3:04 AM

I went to a Bengals game in early October last year on a perfect 75 degree fall day against the then 3-0 Buffalo Bills. There were about 45,000 people in the stadium and approximately 15,000 were Bills fans. It was the most pathetic sign of support I have ever seen in my entire life. Lets keep in mind, the Bengals were a very good football team last year, not like they went 0-16.

To the folks who think the Bengals have “some of the BEST fans in the NFL”, do the Phoenix Coyotes have die hard hockey fans? The Tampa Bay Devil Rays have die hard baseball fans? The Bengals are coming off a playoff season and have one of the best home schedules for ticket sales imaginable. God I hope you can do better than the 49,000 you averaged in 2011. But you’re just boycotting you “fragile” owner right?? Bills fans have been calling Ralph Wilson cheap since 1960 but they still support their team.

I’m a Raven fan, you know the team that swept the NFC North and held your star WR to 26 yards. Game. Set. Match.

the funny part is that Bengal fan says they will be back this year. Hillarious. I love when they say that they “sold out” 57 straight home games. What they don’t tell you is that Chad Johnsonochocinco, Kroger, P&G had to buy the tickets for the last 7 of those for them to “sell out.” Once a loser, always a loser.

You just admitted what I’ve been saying for months.

At the time, the fans were upset about possibly losing Palmer.

Once he left, it changed to calling him a “quitter” and many other things.

That’s clearly small dick syndrome and nothing you say now will change that.

  16. dirtybird28 says: May 31, 2012 6:34 AM

Hell I’m a Cowboys fan from NH and I’d buy the orange package… Airfare plus hotel plus the package is probably cheaper than an endeavor to Gillette Stadium.

  17. rtk23 says: May 31, 2012 6:35 AM

Ummm….they do this every year. I’ve been buying my Bengals tickets like this for many years. We are the only team that does this?

  18. jrich4210 says: May 31, 2012 7:34 AM

You are correct rtk23. They do this every year. this is not something new. This is not even news.

  19. timmons94 says: May 31, 2012 7:39 AM

    no rtk23 your not…
they do same thing in Believeland…another powerhouse like the bungals. Back to earth this year, u didn’t beat a team with a winning record all year last year. Dalton is not that good. as Cowher would say, Who dey, We dey

  20. EJ says: May 31, 2012 7:47 AM

Seems like a good deal, especially the Black ticket package, some pretty good games.

  21. johnnyjagfan says: May 31, 2012 8:12 AM

Falcons do the same. I bought a half-pack (they make you buy one preseason game) with the prime time games vs. Dallas & Denver. I don’t care what the other games are. Can’t even remember, really. Wait, I got week 17 vs. Tampa. That’ll appreciate in value for sure…

  22. richkotitte says: May 31, 2012 8:15 AM

Too bad this story wasn’t about the Jaguars 4 game TEAL and BLACK ticket packs. Then we could read the plethora of L.A. Jaguar posts from the joetoronto pencil d*cks of the world.

  23. hound32 says: May 31, 2012 8:35 AM

i hope they dont sell out being a Browns fan . i am stuck with Time warner cable . if the Bengals dont sell out i get to see more Browns games on the tube . they have a very good football team . when did Mike Brown learn how to draft ? they may win the AFC North which is the best division in all of pro football .

  24. shackdelrio says: May 31, 2012 8:42 AM

    This means L.A. Bengals, right?

  25. 32bigg says: May 31, 2012 9:06 AM

Randallflag and joetoronto must two of the most pathetic losers i’ve ever seen commenting on blogs.

You spend your days trolling Bengals articles and just spew ignorant hate. You two have no clue what you’re talking about, and you are ignorant to your ignorance.

I have little doubt that one or both of you are simply hateful people by nature, and surely will be doing the planet a favour by succumbing to heart disease soon enough.

And change your name Joe. I’m Canadian, and cringe at the thought of someone like you using the good Canadian name to spew ignorant hate. GO Bengals!

He talked about doing it, never did follow thru on his talk.

lets all know when you win a game that matters!

  32. mrfrostyj says: May 31, 2012 7:46 PM

Bengals fans are smart (apparently smarter than the NFL “experts”). They watch their team have a good year then go back to bottom of the barrel every few years so they weren’t fooled by their season last year.

Mike Brown is a horrible owner and they know it. Why give him more money for him to pocket and not spend on making that team a consistent winner. The only thing he’s done good was help the Cincinnati economy with all the bail money his players have to give the city to get out of jail every off season.

When I said “the Carson situation”, I was talking about MB not trading him. Most Bengals fans were happy to see the pick-six machine leave. Btw, the Raiders have averaged 5 from 2003-2011. During that same span, the Bengals made the playoffs 3 times in the toughest division in football. Must hurt to hear that.

  36. brownsbacker44 says: Jun 3, 2012 9:41 AM

I’m a Browns fan so of course I don’t like the Bengals but seriously, every Bengals fan I know was mad about Carson leaving and then after Ginger won a few games they changed their tune.

You forgot to mention that Marvin Lewis has a Super Bowl ring… for the Ravens. And that the Bengals havent won a playoff game in like 20 years. And that they had to give away 2 for 1 ticket deals just to sell out a week 17 must win game. Game. Set. Match.

You guys ripping on the Bengals in an article about ticket packages are truly pathetic. Do you have nothing to do with yourselves other than post your ignorance on here? Why don’t you stick to your team’s sites and articles instead of trolling for anything that mentions the Bengals just so you can run your mouths? It’s ridiculous, I get on here to read what’s going on with my team and all I see is people posting some of the dumbest crap and the oldest most played out jokes. It’s like there’s nothing but insecure 13 yr olds on here talking about others so they can feel better about themselves.
