Relinquishing day to day stuff is a far cry from the being the guy who owns it (and by extension is the person who pays everyone and is the final decision maker). It’s true of any business.
Since you are claiming that all this day to day stuff being handed to Stephen and Garrett why not post a link to it.
As far as learning his lesson is concerned, it’s taken him 18 years and 5 booted head coaches to learn his lesson? Must be a slow learner.
I interpret his comments above to imply that he does not want to endure too many disappointing season now that he’s 70. If they don’t start winning soon, no one is above being replaced.

And you don’t believe he has learned from a mistake he made with Johnson from 20 years ago? Parcells is a mercenary type of coach – he wasn’t in it for the long haul and he and JJ had a solid relationship. The teams which have the most consistency in there coaching staffs are your teams with the most consistent Wins and Losses record as well as playoff appearances. I believe that JJ finally understands that fact so Garrett isn’t going anywhere even the Boys went 8-8 again he will be back and probably get a contract extension.

Laughable stuff. Firstly you have no insight into Jones’s thinking, do you? Are you related to him or on his staff? Jones’s thinking is consistency and yet he forced Johnson out and Parcells left in 3 years. Is this why no head coach has lasted more than 4 years in Dallas (after Johnson)

lodonbegal, i guess the news to london takes five years or so to get there. Jerry needs to relax but I know that will not happen. The fact of the matter is the window never opened. Espn and media just like making a mockery of Dallas.

The core of this team is young. The last few years were rebuilding years but cowboys fans dont want to hear that. Demarco murray, austin, bryant, claiborne, carr, tyron smith is 21, sean lee, carter, connor, scandrick all in their early to mid 20s..even the.older guys witten and ware are only approaching 30.

Romo is 32. hes a young 32 because he became a starter in his 4th year I believe. The point is if the cowboys make the playoffs THEN the window cracks open. It starts with taking care of the division. If they cant do that then quite frankly they just arent better than the other nfc squads. Wins will change everything. in the nfl that can happen on a flash ask the giants
