Classic. Whatever….I’m sure this guy or gal responsible probably paid with their job.

My kid hangs all of the S.I. Kids pullout posters of the months’ athletes up on his wall from each month and there’s one of former Cardinal Albert PULOLS right in the middle of it all. Guessing that the S.I. Kids editor may have received his pink slip not long after that went to press too.

Somewhere, Brett Favre is snickering in a corner too…

The slogan is “Explore the Jerseys.” Maybe they want you to explore them closely to find the mistake. Like Where’s Waldo, they have hidden a mistake in every ad. You just have to find it.

It is remotely possible that it’s not a mistake?

Obviously, I’m not privy to the details of the League’s marketing agreement with its players, but it seems like Aaron Rodgers would have to be compensated for the use of his name on a jersey bearing “his” number. On the other hand, if there is no “Rogers” who wears #12, the League (or Nike) might not need pay for using the image.

I actually thought that the complaint was going to be that Donald Driver was wearing a Rodgers jersey when I saw the picture before reading it. The “no D in Green Bay” comment is on point though, this article probably needs no other comments after that.

“When an ad sent by the NFL contains an image of the reverse of an Aaron Rodgers jersey and no one whose fingerprints are on the final product, from preparing the jersey that was used in the ad to photographing the jersey to picking the photos to building the ad to sending out the email, notices that the “D” is missing, that’s a problem.”

I doubt an actual jersey with “Rogers” was made or involved in a photo shoot. It was likely a generic Packers jersey with no name. The name plate was added digitally at a later time.

Maybe they reserve the correct spelling
for the authentic jersey. If you’re not willing to pay the big bucks, then I guess you should expect some flaws…
