The Colts are one player closer to signing their entire draft class.
Owner Jim Irsay took to Twitter to announce that the team has agreed to a contract with wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. As anyone who follows Irsay could probably guess, it didn’t read much like the typical announcement of such news.
“T Y Hilton scrawled on that bottom line...3 draft picks left to sign”
Hilton, a third-round pick, caught 229 passes during his career at Florida International. His ability to handle working in the slot for the Colts will determine how many catches he winds up with in the NFL. At 5'10", 183 pounds with great speed, Hilton is suited to the role. He also scored six times on kick and punt returns while in college, which could land him either or both of those jobs with the Colts.
Quarterback Andrew Luck and two tight ends -- Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen -- are the remaining unsigned Colts draft picks.
