One more team is done with signing draft picks for 2012.

The Falcons announced that they have signed defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi, which means that all six of their draft picks are under contract. Massaquoi, one of two fifth-round picks by Atlanta, signed a four-year deal with the team.

Massaquoi’s the third member of his family currently in the NFL. Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi and free agent tight end Visanthe Shiancoe are both his cousins. The Browns and Falcons aren’t scheduled to meet this year, which means Shiancoe will have to sign with someone on the Falcons’ schedule to create an excuse for a family reunion.

Massaquoi had 13.5 sacks in his sophomore year at Troy, but fell to 6.5 sacks in 2011 before deciding to enter the draft. He has dropped weight since the end of the season and combine in an attempt to get closer to his weight in 2010. If that has positive results, it will help Massaquoi earn snaps in a battle for playing time behind John Abraham and Ray Edwards on Atlanta’s defensive line.
