The Jaguars waited a while to start signing rookie draft picks. And the first contract inked by one of their selections from late April has been scrapped by the league office.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL disapproved on Friday the contract signed earlier in the week by Jacksonville’s second-round selection, defensive end Andre Branch.
The move comes less than a year after a pair of Jaguars rookie deals were disapproved.
Typically, the error is cured quickly and easily.
The Jaguars also have signed sixth-round cornerback Mike Harris. His contract hasn’t been disapproved.
