Vikings fullback Felton arrested for DWI

Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Vikings fullback Jerome Felton was arrested for DWI on Saturday morning.

Felton reportedly refused a chemical test at the scene and his bond was set at $12,000 at Hannepin County Jail.

The Vikings had high hopes for Felton, projecting him as their No. 1 fullback ahead of Ryan D’Imperio and Matt Asiata. Felton signed a one-year, minimum deal with the club in March, so he’d be easy to release if the Vikings want to cut ties with an off-the-field problem.

Prior to Saturday’s arrest, Felton had no history of conduct policy violations.

  1. Idiots, the lot of ’em. Seems pro-athletes have a lot of problems keeping out of trouble off the field, even with the world on their platter and their wallets full of more money than most could ever dream of.

  2. If he was a lion, he would have eluded police and then had his hypocrite coach talk about the importance of team image.

  3. Well, he used to be a Lion. That’s gotta mean something, right? Even though he wasn’t there in 2011 when the Schwartz did his handshake dance, that personality must have rubbed off.

I love how the pic is him in a Lions uniform. It makes the joke write itself.

And that, folks, is how the media subtly influences perception…

  5. Seems like he is ingratiating himself with the losers of the vikings organization.

That’s the 6th viking player arrested in the last 10 months!!

Absentee ownership and bad management just don’t seem to care about anything be it winning, corporate image, or living on the nfl’s welfare system.

If Roger Goodell was concerned about the NFL’s image, he would have taken action against the vikings long ago. Even Paul Tagliabue called Wilf into the principal’s office for bad viking behavior after the Criminal Cruise when players were exposing themselves in public.

6 arrests in less than 300 days Commissioner!!
    Please do something!!!

  6. I’m sure it was an innocent mistake posting him in a Lions uniform. Everyone knows PFT would never go out of their way to pick on one particular team……

    ………..
Only a Packer fan would blame an orginization for a player PERSONAL CONDUCT…….especially when that player is a Viking. Get a clue guy….these guys are adults and make their own decisions. Think I should blame your employer Wal-Mart if you get a DWI driving home from the Brett Favre Steakhouse? Tool. Only thing that shocks me about this article is the amount of Felton’s bail…….$12,000 for a DWI…..wow.

  8. Their goes our big free agent move this off season! Hey Rick, the object here is to IMPROVE the team!!!!!!!!!

  9. Vikings fans sure talk a lot of smack..Detroit sent him down the road 2 years ago and he didn’t do squat in Indy or Carolina…yet, Minni picked him up. No stats for him on the Vikings website which means..he’s not any good. And…what did the Vike-Queens do last year..with Jerome Felton? I guess you guys still miss McNabb, Favre, Gannon, Cullpepper, Cunningham, George, Carter, Moss (twice), etc…. You guy’s get a stadium yet? Ha-ha-ha!!!!!

  10. That’s the 2nd off season acquisition with legal issues, first was the RB. I suspect he too will be shown the door. They also signed a convicted drug dealer from Cincy in Simpson, who is on probation and is suspended the first 4 games.

Just show how scarce talent is on this team that is forced to have to look for cast-offs from teams like the Bengals and Lions. Gonna be a long season.

  11. “The Vikings had high hopes for Felton, projecting him as their No. 1 fullback…signed a one-year, minimum deal with the club”

This is how you know your team is not poised for success in the upcoming season.

Please get your facts right before you make idiotic posts. Jerome Simpson is only out 3 games, and The Vikes signed Jerome Felton this year, thats why there are no stats for him on the website. He has never played a game for them yet.
