How is this NOT the coaches fault?!?

-GWilliams brought his tradition of the pay for performance system to N.O.

-GW kept running the program after being told to stop by the NFL and the Saints.

-Vitt, with knowledge of the illegal program, let it continue, as he was the 'spy' for SPayton in the Defensive locker room.

-GW, Vitt And SPayton all knew this was happening.

-Lack of institutional control falls on the coaches, not the players.

Besides, all the 'evidence' is of off the field coaching matters (ledger, locker room recording, etc.), so what crime, exactly, did the Saints PLAYERS commit? If they would have committed any wrong, the referees would be the ones responsible for not penalizing them.

Look at what a mess the NFL has become under GODell's watch. If this isn't considered a final indictment of his lack of leadership and proper vision for the sport, then I don't know what will be.
The buck stops with GODell. Period.

I guess in a couple weeks we'll hear about the love triangle that drove a stake through hearts of Goodell, Smith, and Brees, and how Scott Fujita is pregnant with Scott Pamphilon's baby.
