PFT Live: Jaguars talk with Mike Dempsey and Titans talk with Jim Wyatt

The PFT Live week gets underway with a big focus on the AFC South.

Mike Dempsey of 1010XL in Jacksonville will join Mike Florio to talk about the Jaguars. We’ll find out what the team is thinking about rookie wide receiver Justin Blackmon in light of his DUI arrest, including what they might do to his contract to protect themselves going forward. While that’s the biggest current story with the Jags, we’ll also touch on Maurice Jones-Drew’s quest for a new contract and Blaine Gabbert’s progress as a starting quarterback.

We’ll then look elsewhere in the division when Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean drops by the program. The Titans have a rookie receiver of their own in Kendall Wright, although the only question on that front is how they will use Wright in their offense this season. The biggest question of all for the Titans is whether Matt Hasselbeck or Jake Locker will be throwing passes to Wright and we’ll see how Wyatt sees their competition playing out.

You can watch it all live at noon ET.

According to eyewitness reports, Blackmon was drunk (and beligerent) in Jacksonville on Friday night after OTAs finished, missed an appearance Saturday in Houston because he was “sick” (hungover), then was totally wasted again in Stillwater Saturday night/Sunday morning. Sounds like he has an alchohol problem.

If Smith whiffed on Blackmon, that is about strike seven for Gene. Someone intervene.
