Between the end of Organized Team Activities and the start of training camp, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will once again host teammates at a series of player-organized workouts that he calls the “Jets West” camp. And this year’s attendees will include the player who could take Sanchez’s job.

Tim Tebow told the New York Daily News that he will attend the “Jets West” camp in Southern California in a few weeks.

Sanchez started the offseason camp with offensive skill position players in 2010, and a number of players credited the extra work and team-building as a reason for the Jets’ success. When the lockout canceled minicamps and OTAs last season, Sanchez extended his “Jets West” work, although the extra work and team-building did not carry over to another successful season.

Other players who told the New York Daily News they will attend include third-string quarterback Greg McElroy, running backs Shonn Greene, Joe McKnight and John Conner; wide receivers Jeremy Kerley, Patrick Turner and Scotty McKnight; and tight ends Dustin Keller, Jeff Cumberland and Josh Baker. Receiver Stephen Hill and running back Bilal Powell haven’t committed yet, while rookie running back Terrance Ganaway said he will skip it to spend time with his wife.
