Love his trick-shot video, but comparing that to NFL football is like comparing a Harlem Globetrotters’ performance to NBA basketball. If he’d showed any real game promise, I’d think he’d have gotten some buzz from the scouts for his college play. Then again, James Harrison was an UDFA who’d been cut a couple of times before becoming a DPOY for the Steelers. KC isn’t exactly swimming in QB talent, so given the opportunity, Tanney might prove himself. If he makes the team, I’ll look forward to seeing what he can do with an NFL defense bearing down on him.

At least he’s getting a shot. Now he has to prove he’s more than a trick shot QB and an actual player at the highest level. I’ll be cheering for him and that linebacker who spent 6 years in prison for a rape he didn’t commit.

Like I’ve said before on this site, I went to college with Alex Tanney. He’s got the skills to compete in the NFL. The video showcasing his skills and his chances so far with NFL teams are proof of that. The question with DIII standouts will always be what will happen when the game speeds up a little bit. Tanney absolutely tore up opponents at Monmouth. Believe me, I was a guy watching him do it for three years. With tougher competition on defense and more complex offensive systems, it will be interesting to see how his game will adapt. His got the skills to do it but he’s most definitely got to make the most of his chances.

I saw this video. Dude is good. Maybe one other QB in the NFL could pull off what he did. I don’t care how many takes, you could have given 99% of people and given them a million takes and they couldn’t do this. Good luck to him.

I got $20 that he’s better than Tebow, and that clowns a #2 QB, or a #1 on the laughable donkey squad. The donks had to dump Tebow because they know their idiot fan base would be chanting his name by game 5 forcing them to bench Orton, uh, I mean Manning.
