Peyton Manning lives in Mike Shanahan’s house in Denver

Mike Shanahan won’t be coaching Peyton Manning with the Redskins, but he does have him as a tenant.

The Associated Press reports that Manning is living at Shanahan’s 35,000-square-foot mansion in Denver. Shanahan was in the process of building the house when he was fired by the Broncos in 2009. He’s held onto the house, though, and now the ex-Broncos coach is the landlord of the current Broncos quarterback.

The arrangement is supposed to be temporary while Manning finds a place of his own, but the amenities might lead him to stay awhile. According to a Denver Post piece on the home, Shanahan’s place has a poker room, a bowling alley, a “wine residence,” an arcade, a swimming pool with two bridges and a 3,600-square foot garage in case Manning decides to start selling computers for a little extra scratch. Much to the dismay of George Costanza (and our own Mike Florio) there do not appear to be multiple solariums or a horse named Prickly Pete.

The Redskins were one of the teams interested in Manning before he signed with Denver, but their trade with the Rams for the second overall pick meant that Robert Griffin III is Shanahan’s starting quarterback.
