Getty ImagesLions receiver Titus Young was temporarily suspended from OTAs late last month, allegedly for sucker punching teammate Louis Delmas, the team’s starting free safety. Young was allowed to resume practicing after roughly one week, and recently suggested he’s now on good terms with Delmas.
From a Lions locker-room perspective, though, it wouldn’t matter if Young believes he’s cool with Delmas. It matters if Delmas is cool with Young. Delmas confirmed the two have made up in a Saturday interview with Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
“That’s my boy,” Delmas said. “Me and him are like best friends now at the end of the day.”
Meanwhile, reports out of Lions spring practices are that Young has been on an absolute tear. Anwar Richardson of MLive.com tweeted last Monday that “nobody can defend” Young on the practice field, and later wrote that Young is “starting to look like a 1,000-yard receiver.”
