As if Saints fans didn’t have enough about which to worry, they now have a star tight end who likes to spend his time soaring far higher than the top of a crossbar.

Buried in an item from Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune regarding the continuing improvement of one of the best tight ends in the game is discussion of a hobby that could erase Jimmy Graham’s skills.

Quickly.

Graham likes to fly planes. His newest passion is single-engine acrobatic planes, into which six-foot-seven-inch humans apparently can fit.

“Flying is the most freeing thing I’ve ever done,” Graham said. “It’s incredible because you’re up there, and you’re by yourself. And you’re in control, and there’s no boundaries -- for the most part, except for storms and the ground.”

So while it’s convenient to now say the sky is the limit for Graham’s career, the only real limit could be, you know, the ground.
