As a Chiefs fan I would like to see him get a shot with us but I will root for him wherever he goes.

Would be better for him to do a year of college, play ball and try his chances after the one year. Brandon Weeden is a prime example that you’re never too old to play college ball.

He might have been recruited by colleges coming out of high school, but that is such a huge jump to the level of play in the NFL. He is still essentially a H.S. senior in the body of a 25 year old. Not NFL ready.

Agreed, but do so sadly as this would be a great story. How many 4 or 5 * players in high school get to college and then disappear on the depth chart though.

Does this kid still have his college elig. left? He might be well served by spending a year or two honing his craft there where position coaches will have the time to refine and coach him up. I am sure some big name schools would give him a look. If he has the skills, getting to the NFL even at 27 would be a great accomplishment.

Sadly, I don’t think this guy will make a roster or even a practice squad. Maybe if he works out with some consultants this fall and winter he can try again next year.

Pete Carroll usually acquires ex-West Coast recruits from his college days!!!

Plus he has a soft spot for people that had rough beginnings. For Banks though it was a horrible early adulthood.
