The best course of action as far as peytonsneck is concerned would be for the entire fanbase to just tune him out. It would also be helpful if someone figured out who censors the comments section on PFT and alerted them to the fact that obscene pornographic imagery like: “this guy IRG3 is gonna be a bigger bust than what i left on a redskins moms chest last night!!!!” is a far worse detriment to conversation than the posts I, a black man, try to make about how race is not a big factor in the NFL anymore.

I have tried, on numerous occasions, to write balanced, thoughtful paragraphs on how how being a black quarterback in the NFL in 2012 is very different than being a black man trying to ride the bus in Alabama in 1962. Yet somehow, they are always deleted within three minutes. Meanwhile, peytonsneck18 is allowed to say whatever he wants about the sexual abuse of my mother. The PFT profanity bureau really needs to be made aware that while the word a** will get a post censored, the phrase “bust on [my] mom’s chest” will not. And that is a major problem.

ummm Aaron Rodgers, John Elway, Steve Young, thats just 4 SB victorys in the last 17 years (cause you are obvisously slow i will point out elway won 2) Now i know some of those guys arent looked at as “runners” but they are just as much “runners” as RG3 proved to be in college just not as fast or as black, so that may be where you confusion comes in. We can go back further if you like Stauback was an option qb at the naval acadamy..he won 2 sb’s. You are allowed to hate but at least make a good arguement, so we can talk it out. they both come from spread offenses in college, have very strong,accurate arms, and can extend the play with their legs.

I do think griffin will be a little more accurate his first year, he is also faster than Cam, but Cam will have more rushing touchdown’s than RG3 because of size in the redzone.

Steve Young is also a great comparison, as is Aaron Rodgers, for some of the same reasons as Cam.

In short, though Cam and Griff are not the same player at all, they invite comparison by being very similar in most other regards. However, Griffin has never been stupidly accused of having a fake smile, only rightfully convicted of having a goofy one.

I’ve seen this movie already:

Act 1: Someone in the Redskins organization: “RGIII is really good! Really! Even better than we thought he’d be, and we already thought he was really good! Wow! You know, just – wow!”

Act 2: Redskins fans: “Woooooo! Hooooooo! Super Bowl Champs every year until RGIII retires!!!!! All other teams should just forfeit and save the plane ticket to DC!!!! HAIL!!!!!!!

Where? Where have you seen this movie before? I’ve been looking for a movie about what happens when the Redskins drafted a quarterback in the top ten since 1993.

Additionally, it looks like you really misinterpreted Act 2. The director was very clear in his vision that there would be one Redskins fan screaming about super bowls, while the rest of the fan base, though optimistic, mumbled about rookie mistakes and an 8-8 season

On that note, at the core of the message, is their really any difference between the following two comments?
“That tremble you feel is the 31 other NFL Franchises shaking in their boots. RG3 is about to OWN this league for the next decade in a half. He will win AT LEAST 3 Superbowls and the Redskins will be POWERFUL. The epiccenter of this tremble is Dallas, brother.”

No, at their core, these posts are virtually identical. Stupid people spewing their emotions all over the comment section. Obviously the first is spewing love for the Redskins, while the second is spewing vitriolic hate. Neither one is a thoughtful or accurate prediction of the future.

Yet somehow the first post gets all Redskins fans labeled as dumb, psychotically optimistic nutjobs. By your own logic (and the logic of many other posters on this article), shouldn’t all non-Redskins fans be labeled as hateful, probably racist losers who know nothing about football?

Great but one small problem- this is still the Kyle Shanahan offense, most of the league already figured it out a long time ago.

It’s really not clear where this perception comes from. While he’s clearly no Manning or Newton, Griffin is substantially bigger than Vick; the same size as Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler; and, though he’s shorter, weighs more than Matt Ryan.

Skipping over the “we all know how this will turn out.” Really? “We all”? “Everyone” agrees that Griffin will be the worst quarterback in the history of the game? Must have misplaced my invite to the secret conference where that was decided.

“But let’s keep it to ourselves and let Redskin fans dream”. Why not? What exactly is wrong with letting the Redskins fans dream? As thiswiswhy said, “Their team has been a irrelevant for almost 20 years.” So what is with the desire by every other fan in the league to rain on their parade? Doesn’t it make the NFL more exciting to have more good teams rather than a dozen competitive franchises? Setting aside individual team loyalties, as football fans, don’t we all benefit when the Redskins, and Rams, and Browns turn it around? Look how much life has been restored to the NFL by the resurgence of the 49ers, Bengals, Texans, and Lions over the last couple seasons.

In summary, even if Griffin is a bust, let Washington fans have their day in the sun right now. And don’t hope for potential franchise players to flop out of the NFL, because when bad teams become good, everyone benefits.

I don’t see the Redskins tearing the league up this year, but I do want to see Griffin start from Day 1 so he can spend the season learning and growing, as other QBs have done in the recent past such as Newton, Ryan, Roeslesburger, etc.
