APBy this point in the offseason, most healthy free agents of a certain level have landed a team for the coming season.
That level stops way below starting every game for the last seven years, but that rule of thumb hasn’t helped guard Jake Scott find work yet. Scott, who started every game for the Titans over the last four years and every game for the Colts for the three before that, is still shopping himself around the league a little more than a month before training camp.
According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Scott visited the Dolphins for a second time this week and also stopped in with the Lions and Ravens. The Ravens have recently signed veterans Bobbie Williams and Tony Wragge, which could make them an unlikely landing spot although Scott could be the solution to their hole at left guard.
Scott’s earned a lot of praise for his pass blocking over the years, but Tennessee opted to sign Steve Hutchinson instead of bringing him back for a fifth year.

There’s a reason he isn’t signed: he was horrific in all aspects of the game last year. If you wanna see a Brandyn Dombrowski vs Kamerion Wimbley or Winston Justice vs Osi Umenyiora-type performance, go watch the 60 minutes of abuse Jonathan Babineaux put on him in week 11. It was beyond pathetic.
Come on miami……this guy is a quality linemen and you need him. Get it done Ireland
We got rid of one turnstile (Columbo), we don”t NEED another.
Bears should definitely roll the dice here
DAMN……… looking at this picture is that jake scott or the GEICO caveman??
Columbo was a tackle, not a guard. Jake would be more a screen door.
