ReutersAlways knew I liked Joe Philbin.
In addition to being a gentleman and a scholar and a decent human being, he’s obviously a man of refined tastes, as evidenced by his post-practice press conference Tuesday.
Asked if he was worried about distractions with putting his playbook on an iPad, Philbin replied thusly, according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:
“If our guys are sitting in meetings and playing a bunch of music or going on ProFootballTalk.com we’re not going to be very good.
“We’re going to find guys who love football, love their job and want to be good. If we have to police that type of stuff, it is going to be tough to win games.”
Actually, it might be easier, as we are of like mind. Truth of the matter is, ProFootballTalk.com is full of guys who love football, love their job and want to be good.
From that perspective, we’re practically teammates.
So Joe, thanks for noticing. And have your IT guys install this, just to make it easier for everyone.

Always wonder how many players or front office members comment/read this site.
PFT is a little like Hard Knocks… Great for the fans but probably a distraction for the teams and players. I see where he is coming from, but as a fan I’m happy you are here.
Didn’t know you had an app till now! Just downloaded it but no like or dislike button for the comments?
“If our guys are sitting in meetings while being video taped throughout an important month – we’re going to be very good. It was a football decision – and one that will be good for the Miami Dolphins.”
“We’re going to find guys who love football, love their job and want to be on TV. So back the F up and stop asking questions about iPads.”
I never understood how someone can “love” football having never played football at any level.
“From that perspective, we’re practically teammates.”
So does that mean Florio is no longer a hater?
An iPad would be good for PFT if you’d make your videos iPad friendly.
