Something he didn’t mention about the Steelers is the pride most players have just being a member of the Steelers organization.

the steelers are getting older and not any younger? are they also getting hotter without getting colder while getting wetter without any drier?

ravens and bengals are getting better and better? flacco has peaked as an average qb, ray rice isn’t happy, and their receiving corps is mediocre. their o-line is average and ray lewis and ed reed will both be out of football very soon. they were fortunate to get where they were last season as the steelers were banged up badly and the afc, as a whole, was down. i mean who, other than new england, was even competitive last season in the afc? ravens wouldn’t have seen the second-round of the playoffs if they were in the nfc last year.

cincy is getting better? i guess if you believe that weenie-armed dalton is going to ascend to the ranks of the elit qb’s. cedric benson just bailed. who will be carrying the ball? cincy inherited a generous schedule last season: cleveland twice, the nfc west, and the afc south. if you want to look to the primary reason for their ‘resurgence’ last season, re-examine their schedule.

please don’t embarrass yourself by mentioning cleveland.

not terrible insight. but, since lake and woodson left, we’ve always had a pretty bad secondary. lebau’s scheme doesn’t require great cover corners. as a result, we’re consistently around the top of the league in defense (with those “weak” defensive backs). troy may be out of position at times, but he’s also a game-changer, one of the best safeties to ever play the game, and a first-ballot HOF’er. you take the good with the bad when it comes to troy and it’s safe to say, we’re way ahead on that one. harrison “lost his edge” due to a back injury. we’ll see if his edge is still lost when he gets to compete at full-strength this season. same with woodley who “didn’t try(?)” last season (see: hamstring). did you really say our rookie was “inconsistent”? no comment on that. our running game will be much improved with a younger, better line. i never cared for mendenhall either. i do, however, love the way redman runs (and we’ve got some nice, young change-of-pace backs giving us a combination that reminds me of the bettis/zeroue days).

i listened to all of the doubters screaming for the steelers demise in 2007. too old, the game has changed and their style doesn’t fit any more, ben isn’t an elite qb, blahblahblah . . . then we went out and won our sixth super bowl in 2008 and won our conference again in 2010.

keep begging for our demise. maybe one day, somebody will be right. in the meantime, we’ll continue to be the winningest team in the merger and continue the powerful run that we’ve been on for the past, oh, forty years.

As a Steeler fan it’s definitely easy for outsiders to see how the team is falling. Some of the familiar faces from their 3 last three super bowls are no longer with the team.

But consider that the Steelers have only had 7 losing seasons since 1972. The structure the team is built will only allow the Steelers fall to last for a season or two.

This turn over is the beauty of the NFL and what keeps the league and franchises competitive. But for what your money is worth consider that while Steelers won’t be the best team in the league each season, they will be one of the top if not the top organization/club/franchise in the NFL for years to come.

Seems most everybody already knows that this clown is nothing more than an attention seeking troll – and he’s certainly no Steelers fan… in fact, it appears he’s doing the same dress-up & flame-bait routine with other teams as well…

So, if most everyone else “gets it”, why don’t you?

Or are you just unfamiliar with the phrase “don’t feed the trolls”?

It’s kind of like the Boston Celtics. Everyone keeps saying how old and wasted they are yet they were one of two of the last teams standing in the east this year. What does that say about the other 14 teams in the east?

Get ready for the steeler homers to get all up in arms over this one. Most whinny fanbase in the world.

Their fans don’t believe so. Then again, most Steeler fans refuse to believe anything is ever wrong with that team or its players, even when the truth is staring them right in the face.
