APIt’s unknown whether Drew Brees currently is talking to the Saints. It is known that next week he’ll be talking to David Letterman.
The unsigned quarterback will appear Tuesday on The Late Show With David Letterman, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. It’ll be Brees’ third appearance, and his first since March 2010.
And while it’s unlikely Drew will say anything particularly revealing, Letterman has in the past produced some interesting nuggets from NFL guests. In April 2008, for example, Brett Favre dropped a very strong hint that he’d possibly be coming back, despite retiring a month earlier.

What stupid thing will Drew say now?
That’s all well and good Drew.
We don’t mind you making children’s audio tapes and the like.
We don’t even mind you voicing you opinion on the NFL’s much maligned case against the Saints regarding bounties.
JUST SIGN A DANG CONTRACT SON!!!
I stopped watching Letterman when he replaced comedy with unhinged left-wing rants.
Greedy Swamp Boy
I heard that somewhere before
Why? This is just promoting a bad habit: Brees opening his mouth and pontificating. Why give him a platform for that?
You think you don’t like his mouth, just wait until he’s bombing all your teams into submission.
Again.

He’ll be right at home with Letterman. He can go on and make jokes about Bush and WMD’s.
Letterman will make jokes and Brees will need an explanation…
