Falcons and Titans to scrimmage, may become a tradition

The Saints may still be looking for a partner, but the Falcons have found someone to scrimmage with during training camp.

The Falcons will hook up with the Titans on Aug. 6 for a day, at Coahulla Creek High School in Dalton, Ga.

That’s just south of Chattanooga, and vaguely halfway between the two nearby franchises.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean said there’s talk of the workout becoming an annual event.

This one continues a series of such workouts for the Falcons since coach Mike Smith and GM Thomas Dimitroff took over. The Falcons worked with the Patriots in 2010, and the Jaguars last summer.

The league will approve this scrimmage so long as it is non-contact.

Im all for something like this but as soon as someone gets hurt during it, it will be a huge failure.
