Chiefs, Cardinals finalizing joint practices

JakeOConnell_t607

While no official announcement has been made, it appears the Chiefs and Cardinals have agreed to a joint workout during training camp.

Ross Martin of the St. Joseph News-Press reported that Missouri Western State University athletic director Kurt McGuffin said the deal was “on track to get done.”

The Cardinals are expected to work out with the Chiefs at their camp after playing in the Aug. 5 Hall of Fame Game, and prior to their preseason game the following weekend at Arrowhead Stadium.

The joint workouts make for an extended road trip for the Cardinals, but mostly, they serve as a break from camp monotony for teams. After a week or so of practicing against your own guys, seeing someone else is a welcome reprieve.
