I’m pretty sure he knows he’s a seahawk…..and when he was telling the story he was thinking the first thing he thought when he saw washington on the caller id was the redskins……and simply mistakenly said redskins instead of seahawks….seems like an honest mistake but some of you just feel the need to be a bunch of dbags

how is it nonsensical for a player to tell a teammate that he expects to surpass 10 sacks?? when a classmate asked you how you thought you were going do on an exam in school would you say “its not likely that I’ll do very well because this test is really challenging ” no you would probably say I’m ready I’ve got this no problem. It was nothing more than a guy talking to a teammate….

It isn’t nonsensical at all. There have been a lot of guys who have been effective college pass rushers who couldn’t get it done in the pros. maybe he’ll be another one; maybe not. What’s nonsensical is making grand proclamations about what you’re going to do in your rookie year when, by definition, you haven’t played a down of pro ball or even gone through a single full contact practice against your pro teammates.

Just checked. 2011:
16 players with 10 or more sacks. Compared to 12 RB’s with 1000 yds or more.
So in fact a 1000 yd RB is rarer these days.

But yeah decent comparison.
Still only 1 half of the teams have a 10+ sack man. If the Seahawks drafted one they would be ecstatic.

OK, and I will go out on a limb and say Tom Brady’s has at least 20 td’s and A. Foster has over 500 rushing yards.

Judging by the look of those dreads I’d say he is well into double digit days since the last time he properly washed his hair.

On a serious note, Russ Grimm thought he was drafted by the Seahawks when he was told Washington drafted him. Grimm’s career seemed to work out well. All is not lost for Irvin.
