I hope he doesn’t rush coming back. AP needs to fully heal, we don’t want him to comeback early from the injury just to get injured again.

Remember AP, running backs only have a certain shelf life.

Robert Smith was awesome until he decided to retire after the 41-0 debacle that was the NFC Championship vs the Giants and not give the Vikings a heads up & that set the Vikings back at least 3 years. So yeah a great player who put up huge numbers but left the team hanging in the wind.

I remember Robert Smith. He was a really good running back but he was no Adrian Peterson. Interesting thing about Smith is that he also had a torn ACL and his best years were after that. By the way, Chuck Foreman was a pretty good RB for the Vikings.

As a Vikings fan…Adrian, PLEASE don’t rush your return. I know you’re a gamer, and you may be the greatest running back I’ve ever seen play the game…but getting back there too early won’t do you or the Vikings any good.

Going back too early will not only jeopardize the latter half of 2012, but the 2013 season as well.

Hey thanks for the information Judd. I heard that the NFL season “could” start on September 9th as well.

I swear that the state of Minnesota have nothing but a bunch of wusses. If AD gets his reps in come the start of training camp, then he will not be on the PUP list.

That team does not deserve to have AD and Harvin.

Every post about Adrian Peterson’s recovery has said the same thing. “We hope he’ll be ready for Week 1 but we’re going to be cautious.” “Adrian’s a special guy who can recover faster than most, but you don’t want him to push it too hard.” “He looks great right now but you never know until he’s playing in a game.” We get it.
