Reading all these comments, you cheifs fans make me laugh. So you really think KC is gonna run away with the division? Come on now, be real, that’s like sayings the jags are gonna win their division. I read all this Peyton manning out after one hit crap and 4 neck surgeries, news flash, mannings neck is no longer a problem in case you haven’t heard. Charles is coming off a torn acl, highly possible to re-injure. Do you expect the chiefs to pound the ground with charles, your legs are not the same after torn acls and unless he scores everytime he touches the ball without getting hit, he’s gonna get smacked hard more than manning increasing his chances of getting injured again. Last year the broncos had the worse QB in the division and league, they split with KC and managed ti win the division, what makes you think Kc is gonna sweep them this year with manning? At best they are third in the division with chargers ahead of them and of course broncos on top, that’s reality and you cheifs fans are too over confident to see the big picture. Oh and I don’t care how many thumbs down I get because you KC fans can’t handle the truth.

Here’s how KC Chiefs football works for those who haven’t watched this franchise operate lately:

1.Chiefs put together a good team that needs to upgrade at one or two positions to be serious contenders.

2.Chiefs refuse to make said upgrade(s), and “believe” the player(s) they have are good enough to get them over the hump.

3. By the time the Chiefs organization realizes said player(s) wasn’t the answer and upgrade, other holes open up on the roster due to an unwillingness to open up the purse strings and pay.

4. Repeat.

Denvers only offensive weapon is coming off of neck surgery. Knee surgery or neck surgery, we all choose the knee. Champ will retire midseason from getting abused so bad, Chiefs will sweep the donks, split with the faiders and the chargers. 10-6 wins the division. Chiefs win.

Clearly you’re a KC homer but really? Manning 2010 Stats: 66.3% Comp 4700 yds 33 TD’s 17 Int’s, 91 Rating. How is that not playing QB at a high level? Oh yeah and a Pro-bowl. Cassel would kill for those #’s.

And BTW one of the Chiefs best offensive weapon is coming off a blown ACL. In case you aren’t aware that’s a 2 year injury. He won’t be right until next year.

Schedules are overrated dude. The only difference between all 4 teams is 2 opponents. That is easily made up by beating the teams in your division. Not to mention the fact that teams can suck one year and be good the next.

I’m a Chiefs fan… a realistic Chiefs fan. I’m not a Cassel lover or hater. Cassel is good, but not great. People need to stop hating on him so much, he is good enough to get the job done if he has a stable ground game and a solid defense. This team is better than the one in 2010.

Backup QB: Brady Quinn instead of Tyler Palko (don’t sleep on Stanzi in the future). Take away Thomas Jones and add Peyton Hillis. Add Breaston, Baldwin, Boss and Wylie to the receiving core. Add Winston and remove Richardson (RT being the only weak spot on the o-line). Sub Poe for Gregg (not an immediate upgrade, but a player with a lot of potential). Houston as a pass rush option opposite Hali. Lost Carr and get Routt (can be overcome) with Arenas, Brown, Reeves and Menzie (and a third safety in Elam).

If the 2010 Chiefs won 10 games then the 2012 Chiefs will win at least 10 games. Get over it people, they are a good and talented team quit sleeping on them.

It’s funny how Chiefs fans like to claim Manning won’t make the season and has lost a step. The Chiefs wanted Manning along with many other NFL teams. And if the Chiefs would have signed him all these same fans would be talking about how good they are going to be with him. If Manning was a Chief then they would be the favorites. But he is not.

If the rest of the offense – especially the O-line – does their job Cassel can keep them in games. Unlike other QBs he doesn’t make a ton of mistakes.

Add to that a better D and they could be playoff contenders – but Cassel, knows this is his last shot. Hopefully he doesn’t force it.

Other than that no qb has ever won a super bowl with 2 different teams. Also a lot of denvers success came from good d and running the football with tebow who is now in new York. The back end of that d isn’t getting any younger and u have an extremely hard schedule next yr. Like I said mark my words the chiefs will win the afc west next yr.

Most teams in the NFL are going towards high-powered passing offenses. The Chiefs, on the other hand, are going back to a ball control, running it down your throat, play-action offense. And you know what? They’ll win with it. Best rushing attack in 2010. 6th best pass defense in 2011. Combine the two, and add a much-improved offensive line and receiving corps, and you have a team that can be very dangeous.

Cassel isn’t very good, and doesn’t have to be to win this division.

The donkeys are the favorite, but they aren’t very good beyond an injured QB who had lost a few steps before the neck injury.

The Chargers will be dangerous as long as Phyllis is behind center, but really, they’re in rebuilding mode and kept their terrible head coach. Dumb.

The faiders are just bad. They have virtually no chance of breaking .500 this year. By far the worst team in the division, with no end in sight with that horrible defense. Oldman Palmer can’t score enough points to mask that, and he’s about done anyway. Hangnail boy McFadden is once again a non-factor. Official bust.

Cassel is out if he doesn’t take advantage of what he has around him this season.

They need to stay healthy.

The defense is much improved.

I’m no Cassel apologist. If he can play above average and Charles plays like he did two seasons ago, they’re in the playoffs.
