Sure you were. Let’s ignore the fact that he dragged a middling team to the NFC Championship as recently as 2009, and played at a high level until the end of his tenure as an Eagle. Just because he played poorly the last two years in Washington and Minny doesn’t mean you guys were right when you were trying to drive him out of town five, six, seven years ago.

Me? I selfishly want him to come back to Philly and back up Vick. Whether or not he’d go for such a thing is another matter entirely, but I’d rather go with McNabb than Trent Edwards.

He specifies all the characteristics of an excellent team, one to which his poor QB play could do little damage until he is benched again. McNabb won’t be on any team at the end of camp because he stinks. He is much more pathetic than even Favre, since Favre at least had a little football left in him. McNabb has none.

Any employment counselor will tell you the first rule about seeking a job is don’t put conditions on your employment. If he really wants a job, he should say, “I’ll play for anyone who offers me a job,” rather than, “solid running game, weapons on the outside, a defense that’s been playing well and playing well together, and that’s ready to win right now.”

Not smart because he is eliminating many potential employers.

There’s no playoff caliber team thats going to bring him in and throw him into a starting rotation. He’s proven the past 2 years that he can’t pick up a playbook and learn an offense. That and they’d have to double the groundskeeping staff to fix all the divots from the dirt balls he throws. The Bears desperately needed a QB last year when Cutler went down, and they didn’t even bring him in for a look-see. Give it up Donnie, you were done 3 years ago, you are just to dillusional to realize it.

Sure, he’s looking at a few sleds, an Enzo, a Ruff 911 and a new Maybach but he’s still just a guy with a 520 score…..

A) Your team sign McNabb.

1. McNabb is probably right in saying that the Eagles still would have made the Superbowl without T.O., as, if you recall, T.O. broke his leg and didn’t play at all in any of the playoff games before the Superbowl. So, technically, the Eagles sort of did make it there without him.

2. With that being said, McNabb is now delusional.

I’ll just say that we do have a good idea if the Eagles would have made the Super Bowl that year, because T.O. was out all of the playoffs, and had a miraculous comeback for the super bowl that year.

I’m actually ok with this. He played a game for a living, and got rich doing it. Most will say leave with dignity. I say make them drag you off the field kicking and screaming. Let’s be honest, all of us that played the game played it as long as a team would have us. For most of us, that ended after high school. Never make it end until they won’t have you anymore.

I still remember when the rest of amerIca bashed Philly for forcing this guy out. Still waiting for that Philly was right article. You think a guy goes from being super amazing to this bad overnight. No, he was never elite and we always knew that. He was a very good qb but never great.
