T.O. wins MVP award in celebrity baseball game

The National Football League may not want him, but maybe Major League Baseball will.

Unemployed receiver Terrell Owens was named MVP of the 2012 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game on Saturday, according to David Collier of ESPNDallas.com.

T.O. has three hits, including a late-game triple that he considered stretching into an inside-the-park home run.

Also participating in the event, hosted by Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki, were Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant and former Cowboys receiver Drew Pearson — who also was Owens’ former boss with the Allen Wranglers.

Bryant nearly hit “pitcher” Charles Barkley with a line drive.  Bryant at one point awkwardly slid into second base, giving Cowboys fans at the Frisco, Texas event a scare.

Of course, if Bryant had suffered a serious injury while sliding, the Cowboys always could have signed T.O. to replace him.

We’ve got a feeling they’d be more inclined to sign Pearson.

  1. Its always nice to see a player ride off into the sunset after their career has ended and do it with a little dignity. Lol but for real this dude is freaking pathetic.

Man is still better than half the current receivers in the league

If you mean better at dropping more passes than half the current receivers and then complaining about the lack of throws he gets, then you are 100% correct.

  3. @1122 world…the Jets are gonna snagg T.O.? Yeah just like they snagged Braylon Edwards a few years back then Plaxico last year now little Timmy Rah Rah! The Jets are a joke, not a very well run franchise with a fat a%% coach who loves to hear himself talk and can’t keep his mouth shut!

  4. @CowgirlChris…Your Madame Tussaud’s Puppet face owner has ran his big mouth from Day 1. Obviously that opening day “L” that we gave you Cowgirls last year still stings…that one extra win would’ve made a difference….lol

  5. @yankeesjets42 Jerry has backed it up ever since 89 with way more Pro Bowlers, regular season wins, playoff wins, and of course more Super Bowl wins than your lowly Gay-e-t-s Jets! You should’ve lied and said you were a Giants fan you f#(k !!!!
