Pacman Jones once spent $1 million in a weekend, and Mike Vick has now dropped nearly a third of that amount in one day.
According to GossipExtra.com, a celebrity gossip site covering Miami, Palm Beach, and Broward Counties, Vick’s wedding at the Fountainbleau hotel in Miami Beach had a price tag of $300,000.
According to the report, the event included private poolside concerts by Flo Rida, Maroon 5, and Gymclass Heroes.
Guests included Eagles coach Andy Reid, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, Falcons receiver Roddy White, free-agent receiver Plaxico Burress, and former Saints quarterback (and Vick cousin) Aaron Brooks.
Security guards reportedly collected cameras and cell phones, so don’t expect to see many/any photos of the event on Twitter.
Though Vick can afford to drop $300,000 on a wedding, given that he received $35.5 million guaranteed as part of his 2011 contract with the Eagles, it doesn’t seem like the most prudent expenditure for a guy who is still paying off creditors following the filing of bankruptcy.
Yeah, the memories of the wedding will last a lifetime. But that $300,000 plus the interest it could earn over the years could best something Vick eventually will need -- especially if he’s willing to drop that much money to commemorate his marriage.
