So, the classiest individual on the vikes just made the turdwatc…er…police blotter on pft? Nice organization they got there.
———
Cant get any classier than having a drug dealer (Johnny Jolley) and child molester (Mark Chmura) on your squad right Packer fan?
——

First, Mark Chmura was dumped from the Packers even though he was acquitted. Second, Johnny Jolly is an addict, he needs treatment, not jail time.
-----
All lipstick on a pig. Nice try though super packer fan!

Police are trained liars. Literally they are trained how to LIE. Peterson doesn’t have a rep as a trouble maker. He wasn’t partying with knuckleheads he was entertaining his FAMILY. I’m glad hes not laying down and I’m glad he’s going to expose these police who think they are above the law. Just because you have a badge does not give you the right to be a Richard.

Btw he didn't get charged with drunk and disorderly. Had he been drunk he wouldnt have only been charged with resisting arrest. It's a safe bet the cops would have used everything they could against him... But all they have is resisting arrest for... Wanting a glass of water at a bar. Were there other people in the bar when he was on the way out? Did they get tackled and arrested? They told him to leave and when he did they tackled him. Complete abuse of power. The definition of it.

I believe:
1) If we can see the video, we won't need Rusty to explain it to us.
2) This is stupid, Adrian should have gone home quietly when the bar closed - without having to be asked by anyone.
3) Adrian should now pay his $1K fine and end this before it gets really blown up. But No,,, lets make it as big a deal as possible.
4) A lot of people think off duty cops working at 2 AM in clubs are there to abuse their power - but I don't think that's why so many club owners actually hire them.
5) Adrian needs a big time lawyer to get out of this, and he will.
6) When he wins, it won't mean he was right.
7) I could be wrong, it could be the cops fault, but that's not what I believe right now.

As an officer who does part time security at nightclubs.. when the lights go on... and the music stops.. and we say time to go.. Swallow what's left of your drink (Unless you're in Miami or New Orleans) and hit the road..
No you can't go back and use the bathroom.. (hit a QuikTrip).. No you can't get a bottle of water.. (Again.. Quiktrip).. and no i don't care if the DJ is your boy.. the waitress is your girl.. or you know the owner.
Time to go.. means time to go. Could the police have overreacted? Sure.. Has AP in the past wanted special favors.. See the McDonald's night manager who did the favor for him and got fired.
BTW.. Jumping on his back is terrible terrible arrest technique.. Guy his size.. you go right for the taser..

The one piece of damning evidence against the Houston PD is that they immediately dropped the phony assault charge for supposedly "pushing" one of the officers.

So, basically they attempted to arrest him without cause.

Message to the Houston PD: Time to pay the piper.

I expect the Houston PD lawyers will try to stick it to Peterson immediately, and will drag this thing out with tax payer dollars for a couple of years, eventually losing in court and being forced to pay a seven figure sum to Perterson for defamation, false arrest, civil rights violations, assault and battery, ect, ect.

Go get em AD!

Am I the only one that would never imagine myself pushing a cop?

From the way it sounds, the guy was in uniform, even if he was off duty.

If he was out of uniform, its a totally different story, but if he was in uniform, why would you push a cop, and not just leave the club that is trying to close? Why start some crap and have to pay for lawyers and start all this mess?

It really is as easy as just not trying to push people around in every day life. Regardless, in this legal happy society, I wont lay my hands on another person unless its in self defense. Reason being, it is assault. If he kept his hands to himself, he would be chilling at home right now with no legal problems whatsoever.

Old rule of thumb in the legal business - you can tell a party's perception of the matter severity by the counsel they retain. You can bet that Rusty's already higher than market-rate (Houston rates) fees went up after the Clemens case; I'm sure AP isn't worried about that....but if it's just a simple misdemeanor, why shell out mega bucks? Solely based upon who he hired, I get the sense there might be more. If not, it makes zero sense.

In this case, I am more likely to give AP the benefit of the doubt. He is, by every account I have heard of him, not the type to get into this kind of trouble. If he was mistreated, I hope he and his lawyers make the Houston PD pay for it. He could have reinjured his knee or otherwise affected his livelihood thanks to these potentially overzealous cops.

Either that or he’s not the best decision maker in the world. My money is on that.>>>

That is why you are broke.

I hope Adrian does a good job making an example of these power happy jerks. Telling him he cannot have water. Wouldn't want him to sober up and not get arrested, now would they.

Then the bozo jumps a guy from behind that is calmly walking out the door.

We are turning into Nazi Germany.

pro athletes and cops. you just never know who to believe anymore. it’s best to just stay away from both of them.

I disagree. I'll trust the cops every time over a pro athlete, especially a drunk one. AP hires a high profile attorney to make a big show because he thinks his money and fame means he's above the law.
