ReutersA year away from the field has done nothing to impact Peyton Manning’s marketability.
Like the folks at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, Peyton now has a car.
It’s the 2013 Buick Verano (and, no, we’re not being paid to mention it . . . yet). A new commercial featuring Manning will debut during Wednesday night’s ESPY Awards on ESPN.
A behind-the-scenes video has been released of the commercial, which features Peyton calling “audibles” with the vehicle’s voice-activation features.
Given the typical, um, demographics of the average Buick driver, Manning should have said at some point, “I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up.”

If Peyton said he’d fallen and can’t get up, every Bronco fan in Denver might say, “I’m having… chest pains…”
Sadly, I believe his new sponsor has more horsepower than his new squad.
Pun intended.
The last person Buick took a flyer on was Tiger Woods…
“Cliche Tebow Comment” God Bless us all.
That man could sell ice to an Eskimo.
Seriously who cares about what he or any other spoiled rich athlete endorses. Anybody that buys anything because some celebrity has accepted millions to say endorse it is just too stupid to be responsible for their own finances.
Is Buick his new team? Peyton is easily set for life, money-wise. You’ve been away for a year with a bad neck, man. Stay on the field and focus on not getting carted off instead of shooting car commercials.
Do they still bother to hand out awards at the Espy’s?
The test run caused a 19 car pileup on the interstate. Peyton kept hopping up and down and jumping from seat to seat, while giving voice directions to the on board computers.
Doesn’t matter the article or the issue, there will always be someone who asks….who cares?
Obviously plenty of us do, and if you truly don’t…THEN SAVE YOUR BREATH.
Pretty sure Buick is shifting towards younger drivers, and its working. I am 31 and bought a Regal last year. Awesome ride.
He should have signed with SF. Then he would be filming commercials for Maybach instead of Buick.
…and Eminem is repping Chrysler.
Chrysler.
Who cares?
Buick is for old farts. Tells us where Peyton is heading. Just getting a jump on retierment.
The ad is on Bader TV. Where it belongs.
Damn! He looks good in that jersey.
Buick Verano is a beauty!! Definitely not the Buick our fathers drove! Wake up Florio! There’s a whole great big world out here, and you know nothing about it!
Peyton and Eli Are both sporting fairy wings in some direct tv ads I saw in an SI fantasy football magazine, it’s nice to see their fathers direction has put them where they showcase their themselves in a way they are comfortable.
Your last sentence in this article ruined any chances of you getting anything from Buick.
One bad hit and he may be doing Depends commercials.
