Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez wasn’t listed on an injury report with shoulder problems last year.
That may or may not mean he didn’t have one.
Job-seeking wide receiver Plaxico Burress said Monday that Sanchez wasn’t himself last season, blaming an injury which wasn’t revealed.
“He definitely has enough arm,” Burress said in an interview with WFAN radio, via Jane McManus of ESPNNewYork.com. “He was battling some injuries last year, shoulder-wise that a lot of people didn’t know about . . . different things like that. But I think he really turned a corner.”
Sanchez was listed on the report with a neck injury in Week 15 and Week 16.
Any injury may have explained his lack of production downfield, as he completed just five passes all season longer than 21 yards.
Or, maybe Burress just continues to talk to try to keep himself in the public eye — in hopes of getting on an NFL roster.
