Getty ImagesForty-nine years after opening its doors, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has its 9 millionth visitor.
Alex Duff, a 10-year-old Steelers fan from York, Pennsylvania, became guest No. 9,000,000 at the Hall of Fame on Sunday afternoon. Alex was there on a family vacation with his mother, father, and older brother, and he beat the rest of his family as No. 9,000,000 because he bolted through the revolving doors while his dad was still paying for the tickets.
“Turns out, because I wanted to be in a revolving door, I got to be the nine millionth visitor,” Alex told the Canton Repository.
The Hall of Fame opened its doors on September 7, 1963, and got its millionth visitor in 1973 and its 5 millionth in 1991.
