There are 2 sides to every story, and this one has many more than that so far. I personally think this is one big miss-understanding and it will take time and video to sort it out, and probably interviewing a few witnesses. Hopefully it will be resolved and we can get back to football and not courtrooms.

As Kelly Bundy once said, “There’s something rotten in the state of Denver…” Cleary more facts will come out because the available facts just don’t add up.

Aside to Dfinpids: In most jurisdictions, there is a requirement that the accused resisted a LEGAL arrest. Be cautious when calling someone dense because it brings the spotlight right back to you.

Feels good to see a celebrity stand up and take a public stand against this, rather than have it swept under the rug for PR purposes. I’ve seen cops escalate minor mishaps into massive issues multiple times in downtowns, one time shooting pepper spray at a girl but in reality it went onto sidewalks filled with pedestrians that got owned by it. I’m interested in how this story progresses.

The only thing you have to do to get arrested for resisting is not comply with what the officer tells you to do…..there need not be a reason to arrest you before this happens….non-compliance with an officers orders is resisting….how dense are you people to keep asking the same inane question????????

The report I read said he waas asked to leave the security. The bouncer then went to get some others out and then returned to Adrian and told him again to leave and Adrian said “I heard you the first time” he then reportedly shoved the bouncer who got an on duty officer to hand cuff him. I assume that is when AD resisted. But what I dont get is why he was being hand cuffed in the first place. He has only been charged with resisting. Shouldnt the story go: Adrian assaulted an off duty cop when he shoved him and resisted arrest when the on duty cop attempted to arrest him for assault. ?

I truly believe there is more to this story based on this: Adrian was reportedly drunk and causing trouble all night.
If this is true and he was, then why did security ask him to leave only after the bar closed. I worked in a popular bar for quite a few years and if we had customers acting unruley we asked them to leave or just threw them out.
Also if he was acting this way all night as reported when he supposedly shoved the security guy or cop wouldnt there be an assault charge as well. Especially if it were a cop I cant imagine they would not charge him with assaulting a police officer.
Someones story does not smell right

I second this as I bounced in a popular place too.The off duty cops we had would let you know they were cops when they confronted you about something. Ball players were known and usually taken care of so…some part of the story is missing. Hell I remember at one player’s draft party, his cousins got thrown out and he was pushing multiple cops around that were trying to calm him down without getting arrested

whens the last time anyone here heard of a person mouthing off to a cop and the cop turning his back on that person?ill go ahead and save you the trouble of thinking, it doesnt happen, cops are trained to never turn their back on any aggressive acting person and rightfully so,so what this cop is claiming happened makes no sense

Given Hardin’s comments, Peterson may be planning not only a day in court to face the charges of resisting arrest, but more days in court to sue the Houston Police Department.

They say the best defense is a good offense. I think Peterson feels that he’s entitled, this self-proclaimed “modern day slave” feels that he’s better than everyone else. I’d like to see him get 90 days and an 8 game suspension.
