Texans facing high expectations in 2012

While preparing for Monday’s PFT Live, I realized that for those of you getting to work on a Monday morning at a time when the boss is starting week three of his six-week vacation, you’ve got time to watch some video.

For those of you who also are Texans fans (and more and more people fall into that category all the time), Friday’s show featured John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, who delved into several issues regarding the franchise that made it to the playoffs for the first time in 2011.

Regardless of whether quarterback Matt Schaub gets a new contract now or later, the Texans’ expectations are Texas-sized for 2012 — and plenty of folks are thinking that Houston could make the relatively short trip to New Orleans in February.

What does McClain think of the situation?  There’s only one way to find out.

One playoff trip in 10 years, they get rid of the two best defensive players, playing in the weakest division (expansion/relocation) and they are tagged favorites? Vegas loves you.

Can you people stop already with the “They got rid of their best two defensive players” BS…. First of all their two best defensive players are Brian Cushing and Johnathan Joseph, and second, D-Ryans and M. Williams were none factors late in the season and in the playoffs.
